Round two went a lot quicker. Somehow, the Fire Ferrets redeemed themselves and managed to win very quickly. At this point, any one of them could potentially go home the victor."The Fire Ferrets cinch the round in the closing seconds! It's one apiece, still anyone's match as we go into the third and final round!"
The last round, however, was even quicker. Hasook stumbled as he was attacked by the other team, and he landed on Bolin, knocking the both of the to the ground. With a single hit, the Tigerdillo's earthbender shot them both clean off the platform, before Mako even realized what was happening behind him.
"It's all up to Mako now! He's bobbing and weaving! He's weaving and bobbing! But he's not hitting back! If Mako's knocked out, the Ferrets' fabulous season is over! He is dancing on the edge of the ring, surviving the three on one barrage! It seems his plan is to let the Tigerdillos punch themselves out! And his plan is working! Han is in the pool!"
"Wow. He's really good!" Korra said, her eyes wide open with excitement. "Get them!"
"They've got nothing left in the tank and Mako is on the offensive! It's two on one! Scratch that, it's one on one, and it's an earth and fire slugfest! There's so much smoke and dust from the firefight, I can't even see where the Fire Ferret is!"
Mako's last opponent was the earthbender who took his brother and Hasook out. Mako destroyed the discs he threw with his firebending, launching back attacks of powerful fire arcs that could barely be distinguished through the dust.
I knew I shouldn't have risked it, but the curiosity of what was happening down there got the better of me, and I used my bending to push away the dust cloud, just in time to see Mako emerge from it with a fireball at the ready. He used the momentum to blast the Tigerdillo, pushing him away and off the platform with a single hit.
"It's a knockout! What a wing-dinger of a hat trick, folks! Mako pulls off the upset of the season, winning the match for the Fire Ferrets!"
"Woohoo! Yes!" Bolin suddenly said, walking towards us from the stairs bellow. "One more win and we're in the championship tournament! So, what'd you think, girls? Bolin's got some moves, huh?"
"What did I think? What did I think? That was amazing!" Korra said excitedly.
"You are very skilled," I agree, unable to contain my smile.
"You did more harm than good out there. You almost cost us the match!" Mako's voice made us all turn to him and Hasook as they walked towards us angrily.
"We won, didn't we?"
"Barely!"
"Get off my case, pal! Ugh!" Hasook threw his helmet away and slammed the door behind him angrily.
"Useless," Mako muttered.
"You guys were incredible out there!" Korra told the brothers. "Especially you, Mr. Hat Trick!"
"Oh, you're still here?" Mako said, eyeing us with disgust.
"Oh, you're still a jerk?"
Mako simply rolled his eyes and walked away. Bolin joined us with a laugh. "Oooh!"
"Anyway, I've been immersed in bending my entire life, but I never learned how to move like that! It's like there's a whole new style here!" Korra told him. "Think you could show me a few tricks?"
"Ab-so-lu-te-ly!" Bolin replied happily.
"But, Korra, we have to..." I began, before being abruptly interrupted by Mako.
