The shrill ringing of her phone disturbed her calm movement.

Putting her book aside, she answered the phone with rolled eyes.

"Most people like to sleep at this time of the night." Without greeting him she straightforward complained.

She heard his chuckle from the other side of the phone. "I knew you were not sleeping."

He was holding his phone from one hand and the other hand was handling the steering wheel with a firm grip.

His answer annoyed her. "How can you tell that I was not sleeping?"

"If you have been sleeping, your phone would be switched off."

There was complete silence from her side.

"C'mon now, being your husband it was my duty to know every single habit of yours."
A wide smile was etched on his face.

She had to bit her lips to stop her smile.

Every feeling was new to her, Every moment spent with him was new to her.
His every touch was new to her.

From these past few days, she was on the height of ecstasy.
Zarrar Sikander showed through his actions and gestures that Inhal Omer mattered in this world.
That someone is there who cannot start his day without listening to her voice.
Someone is there to whom only Inhal Omer mattered.

"How was your flight?" She murmured and leaned against the headboard.

She knew he had a late-night flight and she was waiting for his call.

"It was fine, but one stubborn kid made my ears bleed."

Inhal laughed, and for Zarrar it was the most soothing voice.

"He must be a cranky kid."

"Trust me he was, his high pitched voice was booming in the flight deck."

He was driving peacefully while talking to his wife.

"He made the four-hour flight hell for me."

He shook his remembering the noisy kid.

"It means that you don't like children"
Inhal spoke in a whisper with skepticism.

Narrowing his eyes he spoke again. "It's not like that, I do love children but not the noisy ones."

"But that's the thing about children, they are noisy."

He smiled. "I can bet that our children won't be loud."

She stiffened for a second, her heart rate increased and she sat with a jerk on the bed.

"H-how can you tell that?" It was strange but she felt immensely good listening about their future and children from his mouth.

"I just know, my children will inherit their mother's calm and gentle genes."

Inhal laughed wholeheartedly at his statement.

"And what about you, what will they inherit from you?"
She asked him playfully.

"Maybe my patience, maybe my brain, maybe my height-"
He was cut off by her scoff.

"What? don't you agree with me?"

"I think we should not talk about who has not even been born yet."

Agreeing with her they both changed the topic of their conversation.

"Have you reached home?"

She again leaned against the headboard.
