Help! This Woman doesn't know the difference between hate and lust: pt 1

This chapter is a SUMMARY of The Hating Game. 

Disclaimer: pretty obvious, but I don't claim to be a better writer than Sally Thorne, obviously.  She got a publishing deal; I would never compare my noob writing to hers.

This is just my opinion on The Hating Game, as a reader. If you liked the book, it's totally fine, I just didn't. You have the right to like whatever you like, and no story is 'objectively bad'. 

That said, let's go.

The Hating Game Rant Part 1

Ah the Hating Game. I've already ranted once about it, BUT IT'S NOT ENOUGH. 

NOTHING WILL EVER BE ENOUGH.

Here's the summary of the book from my previous rant: (Skip to next chapter to hear my thoughts)

Lucy and Joshua work in the same office and sit across each other. Josh is stoic and didn't smile at Lucy the first day, so Lucy 'hates' him. Except she keeps talking about how bangable Josh is EVERY CHAPTER. She notices he keeps wearing a repeating pattern of shirts and pretty much every weird detail about him.

They are in a competition to become the CEO of the company. So one day Josh pisses off Lucy.

Lucy decides to wear a sexy short dress to work the next day to 'make him jealous' or something. Makes sense if you think about it.

Anyways , that night Lucy had an erotic dream with Josh in it. It was pretty weird .

(SPOILERS: later in the book she said she had that dream because Josh said if he gets the CEO position he's gonna 'work her effing hard'. Um ok.)

So the next day Lucy arrives at work with her fishnet stockings and sEXy clothes and  Josh says 'Pfft you aren't going on a date' then Lucy says 'Hell yeah I am.' Then she tricks a man called Daniel to date her. Josh doesn't beleive her so he says, 'Okay let me drive you to your "date"'. 

They go downstairs from the office together and in the elevator they suck faces for some reason. Lucy thinks 'OMG his kissing skills BOMB' but also when they arrive at the date destination says 'Josh just wanted to mess me up before my date'. Daniel says Lucy is beautiful and Lucy cries and blames Josh for her lack of self confidence and Josh says sorry.

SPOILERS FROM THE HATING GAME AFTER THIS (skip to 'end of spoilers')

After that there's paintball match where Lucy keeps objectifiying Josh and saying he's hot. But then again she does this every chapter, scene and page so whatevs.

The paintball match makes Lucy sick then Josh takes her home and takes care of her.

SOMETHING TO SAY: I actually liked some of the banter they had before Josh went to Lucy's house. I know I know, shocking, but I actually liked some parts of the book. Will explain more later.

Josh takes care of Lucy and calls his brother, a doctor. Lucy is sick but acts like she's drunk. Josh's brother Patrick is getting married and Josh doesn't want to go to the wedding and Lucy overhears the conversation.

After Lucy gets better she notices her clothes are changed.

You know what that means. Josh changed Lucy's clothes. Yay.

This happens in like EVERY WATTPAD STORY. I dunno why.

When Lucy recovered she 'looks respectfully' at Josh and he notices her hOrnY eYEs. Josh convinces her to go to Patrick's Wedding.
