(This won't be that helpful if you're already someone who studies 4+ hours a day. You can still read it tho it helps ME, but just saying in case you're short of time).
(Also if you're wondering what qualifications I have for giving you study tips: NONE. I just watched a lot of Study Tube videos and compiled the most useful information.)
Hello everyone! It's 2022!
WHICH MEANS ONE MORE YEAR YOU HAVE TO STUDY FOR SOME EXAM NO ONE WILL CARE ABOUT SOON.
*deep sigh*
Anyways, whether you like studying or not, it is important. Not because of what you learn, but because of the discipline it builds, helps later in life. Plus you learn to research and maximize learning time. Yeah it doesn't really sound worth it for the pain of MATHZ but aljfaslkjf
Anyways, hither yonder are some study tips if you don't like to study.
Spoilers: You still have to study hard. It's just these will help you MAXIMIZE your time. I don't really know any study tips where you don't have to work hard. I personally don't think you can excel at school without a good amount of effort. But if you know any tips that work for you feel free to say so!
1. Active Recall
This is really common in Studytube (youtube communities where they give study advice, and yest I watch those videos instead of studying aljflskd), but it changed how I study.
Active Recall basically means you ACTIVELY do something to help you study. If you read passively, not really focusing on the words, that's bad! Instead, read one paragraph, explain to yourself what you learned, then read the next paragraph. If paragraphs are too short for you, then do this for one page, or one topic.
If you don't wanna speak, then try to explain what you read in writing. Write write write whenever you read something, this increases chances of you remembering (and understanding) what you read.
DO NOT PASSIVELY READ CHAPTERS my friends it's a waste of time, yeah your mom might think you're studying and be happy but it won't help you!
2. Explain to someone else
Probably the best study tip ever.
If you learn something, try to find someone to explain it to.
If you can't explain a concept to a ten year old / someone in your class, you didn't learn it!
So if there's a weaker student in your class, offer to help them out with studies. This is much more efficient than trying to learn something yourself, and much more enjoyable too. You might think some time is wasted talking about random stuff, but if you don't really study much at home than it's much better than what you currently do.
(and no I'm not really trying to call anyone out, by the way, in case I sound kind of aggressive)
I know what you're thinking, 'What? You're telling me to talk to the human race? No way!'
BUT this works really well!
(And works best if you teach someone something the day or day after the teacher's lesson).
3. Question Papers > Notes
Don't waste too much time making your notes pretty. *Aesthetic people*, I'm calling you out! Don't waste 1 hour picking the color coding for your notes and highlighting your book with 10 different colors! ( yes I used to be those *aesthetic* people)
