For a bit of context, queendom was written by MinJae and of course before their death and some of her lines were recorded. Instead of being scrapped, the producers who went to put the final touch on the song and album, kept the lines that she already had. Wendy also recorded her lines late so a few of the lines were switched over to Wendy (such as the highnote).

PART 2: REACTION TO QUEENDOM

nayeon: shocked, and a mix of devastated. nayeon knew that minjae was working on something before her death, but she didn't know her partner had lines already recorded. and not just in the title track, but also in the album itself.

after the whole album was all finished up, nayeon was given the right to be the first to listen to it, considering minjae wrote and produced all of the songs, the other producers just touched it up and gave wendy some lines.

it hurt. after listening to her fiancé's voice, she cried like a baby. listening to the album made her think of when minjae would call her on late nights and tell nayeon about how hard producing and writing is. it made her think of the nights minjae taught her how to write and produce songs. all she thought of for months after was minjae. only minjae.
