🚨 Smut Warning

*This one's a bit intense, fair warning

"He violated you, Y/N. RIGHT under my nose!!!"

I'd never seen him this angry, and I was terrified. Even when he'd disfigured Rox's face, his own agent, he'd still been calm and collected, not much indication of any deeper feeling other than the obligation to do what was necessary. Hell, I'd seen him snap a man's neck with less fury in his expression than this.

His hands clenched the steering wheel, only releasing it occasionally to push his glasses back up on his nose as they repeatedly slid down due to the sheen of sweat on his face. He was driving recklessly fast, even more so than on the way over, and I gripped the seat below me as though that would make a difference if he crashed this death trap.

"Midas, please slow down...you've been DRINKING...you're...you're SCARING me..."

I was still rattled from the events of the evening, and the threat of dying over something so completely unnecessary was more than my nerves could handle.

Midas spoke again, ignoring me. "He...he threatened you...you should have IMMEDIATELY come to me, I might've been able to...to catch him...what were you THINKING..."

My head snapped in his direction, my fear quickly converting to anger. "Don't you DARE insinuate that this was in ANY way my fault!!! I was scared for my LIFE, Midas...excuse me if my first thought wasn't to come traipsing into the men's bathroom to find you while you tried to clean the cum out of your pants!!!"

"And whose fault was that, Y/N? Huh? Please, tell me. If you hadn't had me so...distracted maybe I would've noticed him before he got off watching us. Fucking PERVERT...what was he even doing there..."

"I don't know, Midas, why don't you ask him? You know, the next time you see him? You two can have a nice heart to heart after you prostitute me out."

He was indignant. "You don't HONESTLY believe the things he said, do you?!?! Really?!?! REALLY, Y/N?!?!

I didn't. Not really.

But I couldn't shake the feeling that something was desperately wrong. Someone had to have told him where we'd be, someone in the Agency. He got there too quickly to have seen it on the news. Midas was right, he shouldn't have been there. And just because he could no longer run a bounty on my head didn't mean he couldn't torture me in other ways.

"I don't KNOW, Midas!!!" I screamed at him. Tears burned at the edges of my eyes as I was close to breaking down. "I SAID you're fucking SCARING me!!!"

The car had fishtailed as we rounded the last curve, his driving becoming progressively more erratic as the argument dragged on. I couldn't breathe, my anxiety grabbing my throat like a vice. I had to get the hell out of here.

"Stop th...the car...pl...please...Midas, I c...can't breathe..." I begged as my panic set in. I finally broke as he ignored me a second time.

"STOP THE MOTHERFUCKING CAR!!!"

I pulled my knees to my chest, curling up into a ball in my seat, as loud sobs wracked my body. Midas slammed on the brakes, the seat belt knocking the rest of the wind out of my already struggling lungs.

"Shit...shit..." he spoke, trying to place a hand on my back. His voice had softened, and even though I could hear the worry in it I still shied away from him as I tried to gasp in air.
