Isis Kiyana King

Atlanta, Georgia

Saturday Feb 13th

"Aniyah can you stop doing that, it's literally not gon' be any left" I laughed as she kept sneakily eating the mix of the cupcakes she and I were baking

"Ion know whatchu talkin' bout" she shrugged as she licked up the rest from her finger

As I bent down to place the cupcakes in my now heated oven my phone began ringing and I saw that it was my mom face timing me.

I clicked on the green button watching it connect before my little cousin's face popped up on the screen.

"KiKi" he smiled calling me by the nickname he gave me, since he couldn't pronounce Isis, he shortened my middle name Kiyana

"Hey Noah, why you playing on my momma phone" I laughed

"Teetee gave it me" he spoke and he was two so he wasn't that good at talking yet

"Where's teetee at?" I asked

"In the kitchen, with mama" he said as he looked around and got up and started walking to the kitchen I'm guessing

"Tee, Kiki calling you" he reached the phone out to my mama making me scrunch my face up

"Noah- I called her?" I chuckled

"Mhm" he nodded while he licked his bottom lip

"You said you was playing games boy" my mom said making him laugh and run away

"You never told me you went to Chicago?" I furrowed my eyebrows at my mom since her side of the family was from Chicago and my dad's was from New York, my sister and I however were born and raised in the Bronx. So that's exactly what I claim.

"I would've but I knew you had school, I brought dream down here for the weekend" she said

"Well you got work so..." I furrowed my eyebrows making her smack her teeth causing me to laugh

"I'm my own boss, don't be in my business" she shook her head flipping her hair over her shoulder

My mom decided to become an entrepreneur after quitting her 9-5 job months after we moved into Atlanta, she didn't like working for people so she did what any other person wanting to achieve the goals in life would do, work their ass off to achieve their dreams and it payed off because now she's her own boss with a nice, big ass company.
