Chapter 3

When you had returned from AniFes, Kazuha scolded you so much you swore you'd have a headache. He'd been worried crazy about you and even phoned you a couple of- well a hundred times which you didn't notice because you had had your phone switched off. Kazuha was only being considerate, but sometimes he was so clingy you got irritated of him. He'd emphasized several times how worried he'd been. He didn't have to know everything about your life.

"Hey hey, can you introduce me to your brother?" a girl came up to you. You sighed and looked at her.

"I don't know what you find good about him, and he isn't my brother, by the way. He's just living with us for reasons you can ask him yourself." you answered, then turned back to the window. You usually had lunch with Pallad and a couple of other friends, while Kazuha, well . . . you didn't really know who he hung out or where he ate. You knew too less, in fact. Did he eat alone? He had annoyed you last night, but he shouldn't have to eat alone. You sauntered up to his seat and tapped his shoulder.

"Kazuha." you called. He looked at you and smiled.

"What happened, (Y/N)?" he asked softly. His voice was as light as usual, one of the reasons some boys in the class made fun of him. You found his voice beautiful though.

"Wanna join me for lunch?" you asked. Kazuha thought for a while, then nodded.

"Mind if I bring my friends along?" Kazuha asked. You'd never met Kazuha's friends before, so you nodded.

"I'm Gorou!" the dark blonde with sparkling blue eyes spoke. For some reason, he reminded you of a dog.

"I'm Sangonomiya Kokomi." the girl with beautiful long, light pink hair introduced herself. She was very beautiful, and had a calm nature similar to Kazuha's.

"Nice to meet you guys! I'm (Y/N)!" you smiled cheerfully. Kokomi giggled as soon as she heard your name.

"Ah yes. Kazuha told us about you." she smiled.

"(Y/N) OF THE LEGENDS." Gorou's eyes shone with a strange glimmer. You were confused.

"Stop it." Kazuha said with a coolness you hadn't ever heard in his voice before. He always acted differently in front of you. More easily flustered, no calm smiles.

"SIRE, YES SIRE!" Gorou shouted. Kazuha sweatdropped.

"Sorry he's a bit . . . unusual." Kazuha whispered. You shook your head, indicating you didn't really mind.

"I'm Pallad!" Pallad introduced himself.

"Donna!" your brown haired friend introduced herself.

"I'm Timaeus! Ancient alchemy truly is fascinating!" your alchemy obsessed friend spoke. He was the weirdest of your friend group.

"It is an honour to meet you." Kazuha nodded at them. What was with his fancy choice of words all of a sudden?

"Well, since you're here, (Y/N), would you mind helping us out? The Resistance needs at least five members to function, and we only have Aether, me, Gorou and Kazuha  right now . . ." Kokomi turned towards you.

"Its fine if you don't want to!" Gorou raised his voice authoritatively.

"Whats the Resistance?" you asked. You'd never heard of it in your life.

"The Resistance is the second drama club which will rise againt the Shogunate drama club!" Gorou answered with a hint of excitement in his eyes. "Kazuha's the script producer, Kokomi makes costumes, and me, Aether and Kokomi act in the plays! We're gonna have our debut play in the school festival, wher we'll defeat the Shogunate!"

"I never knew about this." you turned, wide eyed, to Kazuha.

"I was planning to surprise you, but since we were short of a member, and no one really applied, they asked me to recruit you instead. And with your request to join us for lunch, I figured it'd be a perfect time to tell you." he smiled.

"Wait but we're in the anime club already! (Y/N), you can't leave!" Pallad protested.
