"I am sorry." Kunal stated as if he was selling the apology.

He approached Vidhushi who was peacefully sitting on the edge of the hotel's swimming pool with her legs knee-deep in water.

Vidhushi looked at him before returning her focus on the waters again.

"For what?" She asked.

Kunal sighed and replied. "I shouldn't have hit him."

"With your car or your hand?"

"Both."

"So you did reflect on your actions." She mumbled. She herself had reflected deeply on Kunal's deeds. He always acted on impulse because that was how he was brought up. Violence and getting things done by force or power were programmed in his mind. But, this did not justify his actions. Just because he wasn't taught manners doesn't mean he would hurt others.

Kunal copied her position and snaked his arm around her waist.

"And, I shouldn't have forced myself on you." He added as he rested his head on her shoulder.

She looked at him again, for a little longer to assess his honesty.

"You should really work on your anger, Kunal. It is neither healthy for you nor for the one standing in front of you." She said with a dejected tone. He merely nodded.

"So, have you forgiven me?" He asked after a few moments of silence.

"No." She answered.

He sat straight again to enquire further. He can tolerate an angry world but not her.

"But..." He was about to defend himself when she interrupted.

"I am no one to forgive you for what you did with Advith. You insulted him not me in front of the people."

"There was hardly anyone apart from us there."

"You still insulted him. And, in return, he just let you go. If he had wanted, he would have easily struck a couple of penalties on you. But, he just let you go. So, if you really want to apologize, then say sorry to him." She explained.

Kunal chuckled.

"You want me to apologize to him?" He asked as if it was the funniest thing to say.

"Yes. And then only will I forget the events of today...even if it ruins our so-called honeymoon. What is left of it anyway!" She said while looking straight at him.

"Are you serious?"

"Do I look like I am joking?"

"Fine! But, I don't have his number." He lied. Indeed he had his number saved in his phone as well, just in case an event demands.

"I do." She said as she passed her phone to him.

"You still did not delete his number from your phone?" He asked with a flat tone.

"He is...was my friend. And, I did not feel like deleting his contact number." She defended herself.

It took an eternity before Kunal finally placed the call to his dire enemy and turned the speaker mode on so that she would witness the conversation.

"Hello!" Advith answered from the other side after the fourth ring. And his voice escalated her heartbeat. It was as sweet as ever and she wanted to listen to it more. She was definitely going mad. Even his voice attracted her and left her breathless.

"Hello?" Advith asked again when Kunal said nothing.

Vidhushi glanced at Kunal and urged him to say something.
