Kunal's residence came into view where Vidhushi had grown as a child. She had loved his house when she was a kid. She used to follow her father just to look around the house and the various rooms...praying to God that she would get a room like this too, someday. Who would have known that God would really fulfil her wish? It's just that she wasn't happy about all of this now. If anything, she just wanted to rewind everything in her life and erase the first day she met Kunal.

Stepping out of the car, five newly assigned guards for her came behind her immediately. She simply looked ahead. Kunal had explained to her how these five men will always follow her wherever she goes, from now on. Now that she was officially the wife of the infamous drug lord, she was in as much danger as he was.

The whole path to the main entrance of the villa was decorated and filled with flowers, lights and music. She stepped carefully on the flowers that were spread randomly on the path. Soon, Kunal came behind her and gently snaked his arms around her waist.

She looked at him and gave him a meek smile. No matter how much she tried to tell her mind that she had to accept Kunal as her husband, she couldn't step over the friendship line. Tonight was going to be her wedding night, for heaven's sake...and she had no idea how she will accept him!

Kunal gently kissed her forehead as they walked together towards his family who was awaiting their arrival. His mother traditionally welcomed the new member of the house. Both mother-in-law and daughter-in-law shared awkward glances as they clearly disliked each other. Vidhushi bowed and touched her in-laws' feet in respect.

As they entered the hall, they sat side by side on the sofa. Kunal's cousins played games and danced and enjoyed the celebration.

"When are we going to sleep?" She whispered close to him.

"You mean sleep together?" He replied with a smile as he caressed her palms.

"Shut up! I am tired!" She said as she quickly took her hands back but he quickly held it again.

"Let's celebrate a little more." He said. Vidhushi sighed. Her dress and jewellery were killing her. She wanted to discard them off and wear her comfy clothes as soon as possible.

The celebration cum family get-together finally came to an end. Vidhushi sighed and stood up. Her mother-in-law walked towards her. She looked at her, confused.

"Let me show you the way." Her mother-in-law told her with a not-so-happy face.

Vidhushi wanted to chuckle at that. She had been here countless times and probably had visited Kunal's room more than his mother did. Nonetheless, she nodded and walked behind her as Kunal winked. She rolled her eyes at his childishness. He was enjoying this more than anything. After all, it was customary for the mother to guide the bride to her son's room on the wedding day.

Vidhushi tried to distract her mind by focusing on the decoration, scent and flowers all around her. She felt weird as her mother-in-law held her hand all along the way. She understood that Kunal's mother had to hold her hand in order to show the relatives that they had good relations. She sighed as she couldn't really distract herself properly and got reminded of the various times she had nasty arguments with her. The arguments were terrible. It was mostly based on the snarky remarks that Kunal's mother used to throw at her since the day Kunal started spending too much time with her. Never did she know that the woman she had been commenting upon would one day become her mother-in-law.

As they entered Kunal's room which was decorated even more than the bride herself, she felt the warmth leave her hand. She looked at her mother-in-law hesitantly. What could she say now? She recalled what her mother told her to say. But, it was so difficult for her because she didn't have an ounce of respect for her. And she knew that the feeling was mutual.
