BTP KABANATA 24

"Let's get you your churros," I excitedly said to Satan when he finally calmed down. It took me an hour to calm him down because he didn't want to let go.

"It's your favorite, not mine," he said.

Tumawa ako. "It's your favorite too," I insisted.

"How come?" He raised a brow.

Sinusubukan talaga ako ng mundo.

"Well, it's my favorite, yes. But I always see you eating it as if I'm not with you. Mas malakas ka pa ngang kumain minsan sa akin. And I remember one time, ikaw lang kumain ng churros ko na nasa ref!" 

I always caught him eating my churros. Kapag tuloy may xiao long bao siya na dala, ako lang ang kumakain. It's seems like we exchange favorite food. 

"Inuubos mo rin naman ang xiao long bao ko. Let's call it quits," he said, ruffling my hair. "I'll give every xiao long bao I have to you," he added.

"I'm willing to give my last bit of churros to you too," I laughed. "So, let's buy my churros, and you pay, okay?" I teased him. I can pay for my food on my own, but I find it sweet when he's the one paying.

"I will."

He closed the gap between us to kiss my forehead. I wrapped my arms around his waist and tiptoed. I closed my eyes as I kissed the side of his lips. He was shocked but eventually held my waist to support me.

"I love you that it hurts," I whispered. I embraced him tightly.

"It's starting to hurt?" he softly asked. I nodded. "I love you, my love."

I've never been this clingy... only with him. The last time I checked, I don't do crushes. What's with the sudden change of mind? I find these things cringe before, but now, I feel like it's all-natural and does not cringe at all.

We arrived at the churros place not long after. It was the churros place where Cloud and I used to go. Now I miss that guy... I hope he's doing fine, as well as Mina.

"How did you know this place?" I asked, roaming my gaze around to look for a nice place.

Tumingin siya sa akin. "I buy your churros here."

"You mean, your churros," I grinned. "This is where Cloud and I usually go to," I said. Tinuro ko ang pwesto na nakita ko. Sa tabi 'yon ng bintana kaya tanaw namin ang labas.

"Vera..." he called me. "Do you always go here with Cloud?" he asked, so I nodded because it's true. 

"We usually go here when we want to unwind and just fuck up our decisions again," I said, laughing. 

I remember the last time we went here. We were both fucked up and decided to ruin our lives even more. But it didn't seem like our lives got ruined even more. Things just fell into places.

I heard Satan deeply sighed. "Do you still remember what I told you before? That I'll always be your first?"

Nagtaka ako sa biglaang tanong niya pero nagaw ko pa ring tumango.

"I will keep that promise," he said with full of determination. "But when I realize that I don't know much about you than anybody else around you, I feel a little bit insecure."

"You know me better than anyone else," I reassured him. "If you're thinking that I share my personal problems to Cloud when I say fucked up, then you're wrong. We only talk here when it's about you and Mina."

He looked at me intently. "What about Mina and me?" tanong niya.

"Wala naman... Naisip lang namin kung gaano kami kabaliw sa inyo. Cloud would do everything for Mina's sake. He already proved that. And me? I'll trade my soul for you to know what love and happiness truly are," I explained.
