The 5 liars had tried to go see Jenna in the hospital to talk to her about what happened the night of Emily's party but they had had no luck in being allowed in, mainly because Shana waited there like a guard dog

But Spencer had been able to talk to Shana who had told her that Jenna was afraid of Cece Drake, which put her on the suspect list of not only who had hurt Jenna, but also who A could actually be

"I still think we should dip into those candy-striper outfits one more time." Hanna was suggesting. The five of them were at school late because they had tried to visit Jenna and been denied again so they were hoping to sneak in quietly to school

"What difference would that have made?" Emily asked

"Well, we could've talked to Jenna instead of getting turned away at the visitor's desk." She said

"Guys! Can you keep it down, please?" Aria whispered "Whole point was to sneak back."

"I think Mr. Facinelli noticed that our entire row was missing." Lily rolled her eyes

"Well... I'd still like to graduate." Aria said

"Oh, news flash... honey, none of us are graduating." Spencer said

"Okay, I still think that Spencer should get back to Shana and see if she'll say more." Hanna suggested

"What? Why?" Spencer whirled around, clearly not wanting to go near Shana anymore

"Because if Cece drowned Jenna, then she must know the reason."

"And why exactly do we trust Shana?" Emily added

"Why do we trust Jenna?" Lily retorted

"All right, well I don't trust anybody, and you guys are about as quiet as a monster truck rally." Aria snapped "Now shut up."

"Fine. I'm going to the source." Hanna shrugged and kept walking

"The source?" Lily said "Cece's been A.W.O.L. Since Wilden was alive. You're not just gonna find her folding peasant skirts at the diva dish right now."

"Well, then I'll... I'll search every hipster boutique until I do find her."

"No friggin' way." Emily had her eyes fixed on her phone and hadn't been focusing on anything the others were saying

"What? What's wrong?" Aria asked

"Is it an "A" text?" The look on Emily's face was exactly like the one all the girls were familiar with on their own faces whenever A texted

"Worse. It's my mother." She said "Mrs. DiLaurentis has offered to let us stay with her."

"In Ali's house?" Lily asked, she knew the house better than anyone of course and even when she had been there with Jason she never went near Alison's old bedroom "You're gonna sleep in Ali's old bed?"

"No! Hell no." Emily cried "I'm not moving in there."

"Yes, you are." Hanna argued and Emily looked shocked "Em, you have to. It might be our best chance to find Cece."

The high school bell rang suddenly and the five girls went their separate ways, not wanting to draw anymore attention to them.

Lily had to sit through an agonising hour of math class, which always seemed longer whenever she looked at the clock. So when that bell finally rang she was more than relieved to walk out the door and head to the courtyard for lunch

"Since when are they buddies?" Spencer asked, pointing to something behind Lily so she turned around and saw Mike and Mona talking by one of the brick pillars
