Songs of Innocence

"Hey, girls," Jason said when he walked into Spencer's hospital room where she, Emily, Aria, and Hanna were

"Hi," Aria said "How's Lily doing?"

Lily was currently having her physical examination so he was passing time by talking to the others

"She hasn't said a word," He sighed and the girls all shared an upset look which he noticed "What?"

"Um, she hasn't spoken for a month," Hanna said

"What?"

"While A had us she stopped talking. We didn't hear or see her for weeks. I thought she died." She whispered

"What happened?" 

They shared another look "That's for her to explain," Spencer said

Jason let out a sigh and wished them all well before making his way back to Lily's room where her exam was finishing. The doctor made a few notes before leaving the room, leaving Lily and Jason alone in silence

"Babe," Jason sighed and sat on the bed she was lying on "I can't believe you're here. Every day we tried to find you. I had no idea if you were even alive"

"I'm sorry," She whispered and he looked at her in shock. Not only had she just spoken, but she was actually apologising for A?!

"No," He said hurriedly "What A did was despicable and disgusting. Torturous even." Her eyes cast down "What happened to you girls wasn't any of your faults and I'm so glad you're okay and you're here. I don't expect you to tell me what happened, but I want you to know that if you want to then I'm right here and I'll always look after you"

"Thank you" She smiled, tears brimming in her eyes before he pulled her into his arms, stroking her hair as she silently cried into his shoulder

His phone buzzed so he pulled away enough to pull it out and read what Toby sent him "The police found Andrew Campbell," Lily looked confused "Andrew was obsessed with you girls and the area you girls were in was part of his family farm. They think he's A,"

"And if it is?" She asked

"If he's A then it's over," He whispered and stroked her cheek "The hospital wants you to stay in overnight by the way,"

"Will you stay with me?"

"Always" He nodded, but their peaceful moment was interrupted by the sound of light footsteps and barking

Teddy came bounding into the room and jumped onto the bed, making Lily smile and cuddle her dog close

"I thought it might help," Her mum said with a smile from the doorway

After Lily and her mum had reunited she had gone home to pick up Teddy to give Lily some company

"Thank you," Lily smiled and they shared a hug before her mum bid them goodnight and Lily lay down with Teddy on her lap. Jason stood up to go sleep on the cot bed but Lily grabbed his hand and he understood her message, so he got into the bed next to her and held her and Teddy close all night

The next day all five girls were dismissed from hospital so Lily finally got to go home but when she stepped into her bedroom her mind flashed back to the dollhouse

"Lily?" Caleb called and she jumped "You okay?"

"Yeah" She lied "it's just...I don't know it's weird"

"I can imagine" He nodded "Well my room's always next door if you want,"

"Thank you," She smiled and he walked downstairs to help her mother make dinner
