"Oh fuck off!" Lily cried and hung up her phone, throwing it across the room to her sofa

Jason looked up from his laptop which he had been using for work in the kitchen "What's going on?"

"That was principal Hackett" She sighed

"Great language for your principal" Jason said sarcastically

"Apparently me and the girls aren't allowed to go to our senior prom" She explained "There are some stupid safety concerns about us going so we're being told we shouldn't go"

"Well why don't you and your friends arrange your own prom?" He suggested

"You don't get it" Lily said quietly. Jason closed his laptop and turned to her. Gesturing for her to talk so she sighed but started "When A had us in that dollhouse they made us plan our own prom down there. We had to decorate and make dresses and do the whole thing and when I looked at myself in that dress I wanted to rip it off. I felt sick. The one thing that got me through that night was thinking that if I survived I would get to go to a real prom and you would be with me"

Jason walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her, letting her rest her head on his chest "I'm sorry" he whispered "I didn't know"

"It's okay" She mumbled

"No matter where you are on prom night I swear I'll be there with you" He said "I missed your homecoming and wished I was there all night. I'm not missing your prom too"

"Good" Lily smiled "Because I've already got my dress"

"Can I see it?" He asked

"No" She giggled 

"How am I going to know what colour to get my tie then?" He grinned

"You have to ask me to be your date first" Lily pointed out and Jason sighed which made her laugh

"Fine" He grinned and stepped back from her, holding her hand and putting an arm behind him and bowing like in the old times "Lily Jackson, will you do me the honour of letting me be your date to your prom?"

"Why of course" She teased and he kissed her hand before standing up properly to kiss her as well "My dress is red by the way" she mumbled against his lips

Jason broke apart from her and grinned "Well I need to go pick up a red tie then" He kissed her cheek before heading out of the house and then Lily's phone buzzed
