99: Entering and Breaking

We probably shouldn't be getting our hopes up. Egg said as midnight approached.

"Yea, we will be successful no matter what!" I cheered along with the chicks confident squawks and checked my internal clock. "And Predaking is late." I noted.

Eh? Just let me in and we'll go. Egg demanded and waddled up to me, so did the chicks.

She let out some squawks of warning and they scurried back to the nest. I bent down for Egg and she got in my subspace.

Onwards! Egg cheered, rather giddy. She gets to trash Shockwave's lab after all. I opened the door and Predaking was there.

"You're late." I noted.

"You're late." Predaking accused.

"How?"

"I've been waiting here for five minutes." He explained.

"I expected you to come in!" I whisper shouted.

"I expected you to come out!" He whispered back.

Get a move on!

"The chicken wants us to get a move on." I said and dragged him along, "Walk quieter." I instructed and Predaking trailed.

"Oh yea, that's easy when you're damn big." Predaking argued sarcastically.

"Then lose some weight." I bickered as we walked.

You'll wake the whole ship if you keep arguing! Egg hissed.

"Shut up." I snapped at Predaking.

"I didn't say anything!"

"You did!" I whispered back as we tip toed.

"When?"

"Just now!" I argued.

"Then shut up!"

"You shut up!"

"No, you!"

Egg let out a aggressive squawk and we both shut up. Finally we made it to Shockwave's lab and opened the door.

"Where does Shockwave recharge?" I asked as I let Egg out.

"Other side of the ship." Predaking whispered as Egg waddled forward nervously and began scouting.

All good? I asked.

It's dark, give me a moment. Egg said, All clear.

I walked in and Predaking followed full of ambition. He switched the lights on and we spotted Egg, frying some electrical cables. Oops. She smirked and looked around. Put me on that table with the really fragile looking stuff. She demanded.

I plucked her up and obeyed, "Don't break anything that looks important." I instructed.

Like this? She asked and nodded to a complex looking object.

"Yea, like that-"

She kicked it of the table and it shattered. But the room was sound proof so it should be fine. "Okay, but anything that is Predacon related-"

Yup, I'll keep an optic open. She said and spun round, hitting multiple objects off with her tail. Oh dear, I'm so clumsy! She went on and aggressively body slammed some additional objects.

Predaking and I watched the giddy chicken break things. I noticed a camera.

"There's a camera." I told them and nodded to the wall.

"It can't see us."

Only me! Egg said as she stepped around and flapped over to another table.

"Just stay out of it's view." I told Predaking and we prowled around and searched stuff. "Don't mess up stuff."

"Yea, that's her job." He nodded to the chicken who just took a dump on a micro scope.

Ha! Observe that! She giggled.

"You find anything?" I asked Predaking.

"Nope, you?"

"Would I have asked if I did?" I smirked.

Would "Shockwave's logical Diary" count? Egg asked.

"Bring it over." I instructed and she tossed it over and I barely caught the datapad.

"Look through the contents." Predaking said.

"Ah ha!" I pointed at it and plugged in a data slug to download it. "These are the most thorough instructions I have ever seen!" I said and showed it to Predaking.

"He did what to me?!" He said, utterly shocked.

"The part with the dentas?"

"He removed my spark casing!" He said, appalled.

"Yea but it says he remade it later." I guided him down the list.

"Oh." He said, "He still removed it, as an 'experiment' it says."

"Then we won't be doing that." I said as I removed the data slug and put the datapad on a table, out of view from the camera. "Egg!"

In a moment. She said as she was welding some cabinet doors shut. She waddled over once she was done and I opened my subspace. Don't we need some Predacon CNA? She asked and ran back.

"Oh yea." Predaking and I realized.

Found some. She said and dragged over two bits.

Predaking looked overwhelmed as Egg climbed in with the two old bones. Those were gonna be his friends!

"Okay, lets go to Shockwaves old offsite lab, maybe there are some left overs." I said.

I need sleep.

"Never mind, the chicken needs sleep, we'll do it in the morning." I said as we walked through the hallways.

"We'll meet on the flight deck." Predaking said as my berthroom approached.

"Yup, can I bring the chicks?" I asked Egg.

Hmm, If they behave. Egg said as we stopped at my door.

"See yah tomorrow." I said and he waved me off. I walked into my berthroom and the chicks instantly greeted us. "Success." I told 'em and let Egg out.

I'm gonna leave the bones in you. She told me and started answering the chicks questions. I went to sit down on my berth and watched the chicks worship her.

And eventually we all fell to recharge.
