Recharge was supposed to make you more energetic for the next day, right? Yea.

"Then why do I feel even sleeper?" I asked myself.

"Your spark." Knockout answered back as he mixed up some energon, "Added some Magnesium Citrate to it." He said and handed it to me.

"What's that?" I asked and sat up.

"Like human coffee." He said as I drunk.

"Okay, I wanna bury the sparkling." I added.

"Burial?"

"Yea."

"With the other guy?"

I nodded, "How am I supposed to tell him?" I asked.

"Just say so, he'll understand." Knockout shrugged, "Want me to come?" He asked.

"You'd be risking you life along with your paint." I told him.

"Ah, right, yes, good luck." He said, "You're free to leave, do you have some sparky stuff?" He asked as I carefully put the tiny coffin in my subspace.

"Yea." I said as I hobbled out. We're going you know where. I told Egg.

Oh, that'll go.... Okay?" She suggested as I realized I got twenty more missed calls over night.

Yea maybe. I said.

I arrived at my Berthroom and snatched up the chickens.

You have a helm and a coffin in here. Egg noted.

I pulled up a ground bridge and walked through, we ended up on a big hill. I jumped down and landed with my kneecaps through my forehead.

Ooof. Egg muttered as the chicks squawked in agreement.

I let them out and they trailed me. We stopped as the base was in sight, Can you go fetch him? I asked Egg.

Why don't you just go? She asked.

"I'm not feeling very social." I explained.

Fine, just take care of my chicks. She said and marched forth.

Three minutes later she emerged with a very confused Prime. She waddled in the lead as Optimus followed. She came round the edge of the boulder the chicks and I were sitting behind.

"Hi." I greeted.

"Hi- Are you okay?" He started in panic, "Did you have a bad spark failure?" He added in fear.

I nodded, "Yea." I let out a sniffle, he sat down beside me.

"The sparkling?"

I shook my helm as some tears sprang forth. "Megatron and I ha-had a shouting ma-match about the dents you left, then my spark ga-gave out." I sobbed as he hugged me. "He seemed to regret it later." I added and Egg nodded along.

"He found out?"

"Haven't seen him look so guilty before." I said, he even had his spark-bond closed. I reached into my sub-space with shaky servos and pulled out the coffin. "They're so little." I sniffed and handed it to Optimus.

He opened it and seemed to shrink in sorrow, his plating pushing up tightly against he frame. "Maybe we-we could bury them?" He asked with a hiccup, he was trying hard to keep it together.

I nodded, "Maybe in the flower field we fell asleep in?" I asked, remembering that time which felt like months ago. It probably was almost a year ago.

He nodded as he closed the casket, lubricant pricing his optics.

One Ground bridge later...

We were standing in the field which still held flowers, surprisingly the seasons didn't seem to effect it. Egg found a nice spot and started digging.

Optimus let out a sad sigh and looked over to me.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"I've been better, you?" He asked. I sniffed, he nodded in understanding, "And Physically?"

"Knocky said that I'll have over-charges sometimes, another kind of seizure where I might feel giddy." I said as I accepted his hug.

You love birds gonna help? Egg asked, the chicks looked flat out exhausted.

We started to dig using our servos, I think Op's were better, they were like shovels. I sat back and watched him.

He paused, "Are you going to help?" He asked. I showed him my blunted claws, he snorted and continued before sitting back a minute later, "Is this deep enough?" He asked.

I nodded and silently handed the coffin to him.

We found a nice grave stone. Egg said as she rolled in a white rock with one flat side.

I started to engrave a little poem Paradox wrote. With my rather blunt claws.

"When you join the Allspark,
Where you go you will lark.

"Away from life,
You will have no more strife.

"Your family may stay,
But will join you someday.

"For you are the messenger dove,
That spreads the love."

"I didn't know you were poetic." Optimus stated.

"Just stealing a thing my friend wrote." I muttered and looked down at the casket in the freshly dug grave. "We need a name." I added.

"For the sparkling?" He asked, I glared at him, what else would we name? The stone? "Umm.... Nickle?" He asked.

I nodded, that sounded nice, like one of the chicks names. I scratched it in. Then we started to shovel moist dirt over the smooth metal and once we were done we patted it down.

Egg and the chicks placed down a large variety of flowers and we all sat back as the stone was moved into place.

"At least we can't fail at parenting." I murmured.

"Or get woken up in the middle of the night." Optimus added.

"Or get vomited on."

"Or change Nickle's wash tanks."

We both stared at the grave in silence, "I wanted to experience all of those things." Optimus squeaked, each word getting wobbler as his optics filled with tears.

We both lost it after that, sobbing into each other had become a new hobby of ours. And eventually, through the exhaustion our emotions pushed us to, we fell into recharge beside the grave.
