During my recharge I had another memory purge, but instead of a bad one, it was a good one. I was a young mech, nervous and shy. This being the result of Amora, my carriers, abuse.

I walked into a bar, I had just become of drinking age and needed something to distract me. The room was dimly lit and had a gloomy affect, bots where sitting around tables talking quietly, the mixed voices blending together. I sat down behind the counter next to a white mech with gold lining. He noticed me looking at the drinks confused and asked: "First time?"

I looked at him shyly.

"Drinking, I mean." He added.

I nodded, "me too." He said to reassure me. "How about we try some together?" He said smiling warmly. I smiled back and nodded.

"My designation is Paradox." He held out a servo for me to shake. I did so and added, "mine is Quillux."

We both smiled and I felt a blush coming.

"Ok I have a idea." Paradox said as he got out one of the menus. "One of us closes our optics, and we lay a digit on the menu and whatever it lands on is what we order."

"Ok." I agreed.

"You start." He passes me the menu, I closed my optics and let my digit drop on the menu. I opened my optic and saw Paradox grinning.

"Let's drink!" He said excitedly.

We ended getting wasted, me more than him.

"Perhaps-hic-we should go home??" He said as we stumbled out of the bar.

I shook my head. "I can't-hic-go back-hic-like this." I slurred together words. Barley sober enough to remember what my carrier would say if she saw me in this state.

"You could-hic-bunk at my place-hic." He suggested. I stumbled into him and wrapped my arms and legs around him. "Onwards, my mighty steed!" I yelled and pointed forwards.

He laughed, "wrong way."

We made our way down the streets and stopped once we came to his home. The rest was blurry. The next thing I remembered was racing to get to the washracks before Paradox. After a fair bit of purging the high grade out of our systems, I managed to choke out, "we should do this again."

Paradox leaned against the wall and nodded.

We meet each other more and more after that and became good friends, untill one day...

The memory leaped forward to when we were sitting on the edge of one of Cybertrons cliff sides.

I was enjoying the view with my friend while also trying to gather some courage. I have started seeing him as more than a friend. I loved everything about him, everything he did would make me smile and laugh. But I never had the courage to tell him. The thought of Amora finding out weighed me down as well, she wanted me to die alone- or something like that. If she found out- no don't think about that.

Paradox entwined his digits with mine, surprising me out of my thoughts. He let out a vent and cleared his intake before he broke the silence.

"Quillux, I've been meaning to tell you for awhile that..." He paused as if unsure and pulled his legs in.

"That what." I asked curiously, turning my helm to face him.

"That..." He took a nervous gulp. "I love you." I looked at him surprised. I wanted to form words to reply but I couldn't find them. This made Paradox frown. "I-it's alright if y-you don't feel the same way. I'd still be more than h-happy to be your friend. I-" He was trying to hold back lubricant now.

I put my helm on his shoulder, "I've been meaning to tell you the same thing." I said, genitally wrapping my arms around him and pulling him into a hug.

"Really?" He asked like a small sparking.

"Yep." I smiled full of relief and joy, "I just never found the courage." I felt giddy, I just wanted to laugh and run around in the joy I was overwhelmed in. And I'm sure Paradox felt so too.

He hugged me back, our actions speaking for us as we sat together enjoying the view.

I awoke from my recharge. I smiled sadly, we could of had more time together... If Amora hadn't found out. I never knew how she found out, but it didn't matter. What mattered is what she did next.

I shook my helm, ignoring the upcoming memory. Don't think of it. I reminded myself.

Thankfully soft footsteps on metal distracted me. I turned my helm to look at the three humans. Miko leaning over the rail as she prepared her upcoming questions. "So, someone's experiment failed." She giggled.

I let out a small vent of relief, she only thinks it was the electricity that did this.

"Yup." I began to get up, untill I saw the medic coming into view, stopping me in my tracks.

"You need rest." He said as he put a servo on my chassis, pushing me back down. Then he turned to the three humans. "Out, he needs rest and your yipping won't help."

"But-" Miko started before Jack took her arm and pulled her out. Raf follow behind looking confused, he clearly knew that the voltage was too low to cause serious damage.

Ratchet turned back to me. "Now for your own health, I suggest you tell me what happened."

I stayed silent.

"If you wish it can stay between us."

I vented, "fine." I said, "I have a weak spark, sometimes it's over worked and can't keep up so this happens." I explained.

He nodded slowly, "is that what happened earlier?"

I thought for a moment, "when Optimus let me stay in the medbay?"

He nodded.

"Yea." I said, "but no need to worry, it sorta turns off and on." I smiled before I frowned. "Come to think of it, I've been of medication for a human month now."

Ratchet rubbed his optics tiredly. "And you only thought of this now." He muttered, "I have some medical supplies I could give you."

I nodded and smiled.

"Um, Ratchet?" A small voice came from behind him, it was Raf he was holding his laptop.

"Yes?"

He held up his laptop, "look, I've been looking on the 'alien encounters' website and this came up."

Ratchet got closer and adjusted his optics, "that looked like a escape pod." He muttered. "Optimus!" He yelled calling the leader over.

"Yes?" He came in with Smokescreen, casting a quick glance my way.

"Look at what Raf found," Ratchet got out of the way for Optimus to see. "I can't tell if it's Decepticon or Autobot." He added.

"Do you know of it's location?" He asked.

And right on cue a map of Earth came up on a monitor, alerting the rest of it's location.

"It's in Australia." Added Raf.

"Perhaps it's another Autobot." Said Smokescreen.

Optimus nodded, "Ratchet enter the coordinates. Smokescreen, get the others." He ordered.

As they left I stayed, waiting for the outcome.
