The next morning...
Samukelisiwe was walking up the stairs into the building and Ethan caught up to her.
"Hey uhh... can we talk?" Ethan asked
"I have nothing to say to you and I'm not in the mood." Samukelisiwe sighed
"What's up?" Ethan asked
"I'm so tired bro, like what a night." Samukelisiwe sighed
"Yeah and I'm sorry about last night, what I said." Ethan said
"Let's just forget about it okay? You're making everything worse than it already is and I'm already tired." Samukelisiwe said
"You think? Like dude, I'm so tired, oh, and guess who we have first thing in the morning... Professor Khan." Ethan said
"Yay I cannot wait," Samukelisiwe said sarcastically waving her hands
They stopped for coffee before class and by the time they got there they were late and snuck past the professor to sit down in their seats
"Ethan and Samukelisiwe you're late and it's not the first time and that means you're getting detention after school today." The professor said finishing up writing on the blackboard and putting the chalk on the desk
"Sorry, sir," Ethan said
Whilst Ethan was apologizing to the professor he scratched the back of his head and looked at Samukelisiwe who was trying her best to hold in her laugh, then they both sat down in their seats and Samukelisiwe wiped her mouth to stop herself from laughing.
Before they knew it the day ended and school was over then they went to the library to sit there for two hours of detention. Kei noticed Samukelisiwe sulking and he brought up all the shit they got up to in high school and they started laughing about how they always got into trouble with everybody, then Samukelisiwe wondered about everything...
"I wonder how Brian is doing, it must be so lonely and cold there without me sleeping under his arm and my head on his chest, him stroking my head with his thumb, kissing my forehead, and all of us laughing about everything we did when we were still in high school." She chuckled lightly
"Hey remember when we were at your house and we always went up to the roof to watch the stars, just the three of us having fun and drinking, then we went back into your room and I always left you two and went to go talk to your brothers," Ethan said
"Oh yeah and Brian and I were so drunk, we went back into my room to make out and the next day it was so weird when we remembered that we made out, the hangover always made it worse." Samukelisiwe chuckled
"Those were the good times." Ethan sighed
"So how's the whole Clarissa situation?" Samukelisiwe asked
"We broke up last night after I left you." Ethan said
"I bet when we get out of here, I'm going to beat you to the hospital." Samukelisiwe smirked
"Okay you take your bike and I take the car." Ethan smiled
"Good." Samukelisiwe said
A few hours later after detention...
Ethan and Samukelisiwe only had two hours left until visiting hours were over and after thirty minutes of driving, they arrived at the hospital where Brian was when they were at the information desk Samukelisiwe informed the nurse they were there to see Brian...
"Haha beat you." Samukelisiwe laughed
"Yeah yeah, go ask the nurse." Ethan said
"Good evening, we are here to see one of your patients his name is Brian Hart and we are his two best friends," Ethan said
"I'm sorry but only family members are allowed to see the patient." The nurse said
"But his brother isn't in the country and he told us to be with Brian whilst he was in the hospital," Samukelisiwe said humbly
"I'm sorry but I just can't and someone already discharged him a while ago and last time I checked he was supposed to be discharged a week from now but this girl threatened me and she said she was a cousin and her name was Sloane Mendez." She answered
"Only one person would do anything that crazy when it came to Brian," Ethan said clicking his tongue
"And here we go again." Samukelisiwe groaned covering her face with her hands
Ethan and Samukelisiwe looked at each with their eyes wide open in shock then Samukelisiwe started losing it.
"Fuck, why the fuck would his ex-girlfriend want to see him?" Samukelisiwe sighed covering her face with her hands then wiping it and sitting down
"The question is how?" Ethan said tapping on the desk with his fingers and thinking
"How what?" Samukelisiwe asked
"How did she find him?" Ethan said
"I don't know bro, she's crazy and she told us literally two days ago that she was coming back," Samukelisiwe said
Then Ethan remembered something about the time they broke up a year ago...
"Samu, remember we were at lunch and we all left. Brian, you and I went to buy groceries for the house and on the way, Brian realized he left his phone. So we all went back together and Sloane was already gone but the phone was dead because an hour before Brian did not charge his phone that day." Ethan explained
"Yeah, so what's your point?" Samukelisiwe asked
"It was at ten percent and about to die," Ethan said
"So that means it gave her enough time and she must've paired her phone with his so she can track him down and it shut down after she left it." Samukelisiwe realized and stood up
"Come on we have to go now! We need to check if they are at the house and her house." Ethan said
They left the hospital and rushed to the car and started it then drove onto the highway as fast as they can.
A couple of minutes later...
They got to their apartment and they opened the door as quick as they can and what they saw left Samukelisiwe in tears until she was on her knees on the ground and Ethan livid holding Samukelisiwe whilst she cried...
