Mia had found out something from the brief interaction she had with Leon, coupled with the personality she had been enduring for a year from Leon five years ago.

He was a proud person.

But the more you let him step on you, he will do that continuously.

However, there was also another fact that Mia had deduced from doing a little probing. You have to slowly take the initiative to wrest some control from him.

Mia gradually found herself no longer acted as respectful. Besides the fact that he wasn't her boss anymore, she only acknowledged their relationship as a symbiotic one. The kind where they mutually benefited from each other; no matter how absurd and unreasonable Mia thought him to be.

It wasn't the first time that Mia had visited Leon's mansion.

Looking at the city life at night, she couldn't help but be hit by the sudden feeling of nostalgia. The lamps lit dimly, trying to chase off the darkness. The light occasionally fell on their car, illuminating their figures inside.

It was a peaceful silence, and somewhat comfortable; neither of them spoke. Mia appreciated the sight, and when her gaze accidentally landed on the serious-looking Leon, she pursed her lips before looking away.

He was holding the steering wheel with all seriousness, looking ahead.

Mia avoided stealing glances at him. She drowned herself in her thoughts until she didn't realize that they've finally arrived at the destination.

"We are here."

She jolted back to reality as the deep voice rang out. When Mia looked around, she realized that she was in a completely unfamiliar place.

Leon's mouth curved up slightly at Mia's reaction.

"How's it?" He chuckled. "It's a new mansion."

Mia sighed at his attempt to boast. Outwardly, she just nodded while showing an unperturbed expression.

"Let's go in." Leon raised his eyebrow, snatching Mia's arm gently as he led her in.

The lights were everywhere; lamps light the dark path, and lanterns were floating above the water. When they passed by the water decoration, Leon suddenly remarked smugly. "Isn't this romantic?"

Mia's mouth twitched. Romantic my ass.

She wondered whether this guy was afraid of the dark that he put so many lights outside. Mia was tempted to taunt him back, but she managed to refrain herself. She was afraid that he would find her interesting and propose a longer deal; she couldn't help but overthink.

"Are you hungry?"

Rolling her eyes inwardly, she shook her head.

However, it seemed that it was a rhetorical question. Leon called the cook and order her to make food.

Mia quietly waited as she sat on the soft sofa, waiting for Leon to be back. He needed to stop beating around the bushes and get to the point.

"What do you want me to do?" Mia asked him with a sharp gaze.

Unperturbed, Leon blinked and acted as though he was in deep thought. Then, he shrugged while walking to the TV.

Mia was taken aback. She started to grow rather nervous and wary. Thankfully that the cook was a woman. Otherwise, she would feel that Leon was harboring evil intentions.

"Are you interested in horror movies?" Leon turned to her, his eyes brightened along with the gradually curved up lips. He seemed like he was suppressing his excitement.
