Without You

Chapter 8

Laura POV
I woke up to find that we were moving. We were on the mountains. Did Ross just start driving or have we been driving after the stop?

I was still sleeping in the back seats. I used all of Ross' phone because he had no car charger and like that he didn't call his mom.

"Hey you're awake."
"Yeah. Have you just started driving or..."
He interrupted me,"No I started driving like at 5 am."
"What time is it now?"
"10 we are almost there."

We passed by many cabins until we finally got to the top. It was big. It was like double the size of the house my mom and I lived in.

"Laura if you see a blonde girl with 3, you could say brunettes those are my brothers, my sister and the family friend. They come up here every end of the month. I'll go buy something so you could eat."
"Okay." It was the last week of October.

He left and I went into the house. I looked around. The living room was huge. The kitchen was combined with the dining room. The table had 20 chairs. I went up the stairs to see there was 10 rooms. 2 had a king size bed. The other 8 had 2 bunk beds in each room. I went back downstairs and sat on the couch. I looked at my phone and had seen 13 missed calls from Vanessa. Oh well.

Vanessa POV
We couldn't find them anywhere, so we called the police.
I heard a knock on the door. The police.
"Hello we came because of 2 missing teenagers." said an officer
"Oh yes come in come in." said Stormie wiping the tears away.
"So tell me how long have they been gone?"
"Just a couple hours. They've been gone all night and day." replied Riker.
It was 12:34pm.
"Was there anywhere where they asked permission to go to?" asked the other officer
That's when it hit me. "Yes! I think I know where they are."
"Where Ms.Marano?"
"In Colorado where they have a cabin. My sister asked me if she could go to the cabin which the Lynchs own up in Colorado. I didn't let her go so she must have gone unless Ross took her without my permission."
"Ross would never do that." said Mark nearly screaming at me.
"Well we are gonna need to go up there." replied the first officer.

Laura POV
Ross finally got here. We ate the food he brought which was KFC. He was quiet for a long time until I said "Why did it take you so long to get here?"
"Well I went down the mountain to get reception but my phone ran out of battery."
"Ross there's something I need to tell you." I was about to tell him everything.
We put the plates in the sink washed our hands and say on the couch.

"Okay so this is gonna be hard to tell you."
"Your breaking up with me aren't you."
"No I would never, but you will after."
"I know what happened with Chris that day I went to your house to help you Laura. I heard everything."

"Ross! It's not about that okay it's about something else. Vanessa didn't let me come so I came anyways. J wasted your battery. I did everything I could Ross just to be here alone with you!"
"What?!? Laura do you know how much trouble you have now caused me because of this!"

He started screaming so loud that he got up from the couch and started pacing around the living room.

I started tearing up a little with tears. Then came a whole river of them. I got up the couch.

Ross POV

"I can't believe someone could be this stupid! I told you to ask Vanessa first not to come out directly with me! I could go to jail because of you. Or ugh Laura why did you do this?! We were going to come anyways I told Vanessa that. I'd we could come over later in the year with her if she didn't let you go today! She said yes. I can't believe you could do something so stupid."

I heard a door shut. I saw and Laura wasn't here. I ran out and saw her running into the woods. i followed her screaming her name. She didn't look back all she would say was "Stupid yes I'm stupid right." I would reply back "Im sorry I never meant that."
She went through many trees to get away from me. She was a fast runner. She was headed into the road and to the other side of the forest.

(Short little Laura POV)
I got onto the road Ross still following, but I managed to get away from him. I quickly crossed the road seeing a car come up fast with a couple of people on it. I couldn't believe he called me stupid. All I heard was "Stupid" instill my head.
(End of Laura POV)

Ross POV
I crossed the road. A car hit me on the side just a bit that it really didn't hurt but made me tumble back to the other side of the road falling onto some pile of leaves. The people still got up as I managed to stand myself up.
"OMG are you okay? The voice sounded so familiar it was a girl.
"Do you need anywhere to go?" said a guy with a deep voice. He sounded like he was around his early 20s. I looked up and saw my brothers, my sister, and Ellington.
"Oh Ross. We are so sorry we didn't mean to hit you." said Ryland.
"It's okay I just gotta go look for my girlfriend."
"Ugh you brought that stink rat here. Never mind guys lets go back down. Thanks for ruining our weekend." said Rocky.
"Oh thanks man really since I'm not hurt or anything Anyways I broke up with her. I'm with someone else."
"What? really?" said Rydel.
"Yes a month ago. And will you excuse me I got to look for my new girlfriend who knows where she is at right now thanks for the distraction." I rolled my eyes and ran into the woods again until I heard Rocky scream my name.
"Ross I'm sorry here let me help you find her."
"No after how you've been with me I really don't need you or your help. I still have the scars you guys left me.Now will you excuse me."
"I'm still going."
"No you aren't okay cause I said so." I threw him to the leaves as Rydel said, "Ross no just let him go."
"I won't okay now good bye leave me alone."
"Ross don't be that way just let him or let me go with you I never did anything to you." said Ell.
"Excuse me but you did. Instead of stopping my brothers you let them kick me and punch me."
I heard a scream come from inside the woods. "Laura!"
"Okay guys lets go in there and find her." said Ryland getting a flash light from the back seat.
"No!" I said
"Yes we are going to help you find her no matter what." he replied.
"I guess I have no choice."
I heard another scream "Ross!!!"
"we better get going." I replied to all of them
