(One day later)

Hawk

Oh man, Maximus hasn't spoken to one of us in at least twenty four hours, he is just sitting in the cargo hold, holding his sister and staring into space. When we landed, back in the city. I couldn't help but glance his way as I stumbled out of the aircraft, I didn't have time to cram false words of optimism down his throat, I had a funeral to arrange.

One week later

The rain made a pitter patter rhythm as it collided with my umbrella, the priest just finished his speech, and we now watched the dirt cascade against the small coffin. Jade stared at her feet, scowling into the dirt. Was it too much to ask for a happily ever after? To much for a good ending? Of course it was, nothing ever goes our way, it never has, it never will. I wanted to see Arylan bang on the coffin, laughing like when max made a horrible joke, even in the darkest of times. I had to act surprised when he brought her on the ship, for the others sake, but I knew he had a sister for a long time. When your adopted brother disappears for hours at a time to say he's going grocery shopping, and then we run out of food that Wednesday? Nope! I don't buy it, BullSchist. So naturally I followed him. down to the little house on baker street, where he would walk in and envelope the girl in a tight hug, whispering how he would always come back, just like he promised. How they would play, and laugh, read, and write. To say the least, it touched my heart. I eventually met the girl, Max found me out, and invited me along. She had to pretend too, but it surprised both of us, how bitter she acted on the plane. I can't elaborate enough how much I miss the small girl in the ballerina costume, with a stuffed bear she called teddy, as we sipped hot cocoa from plastic tea cups, the litt girl who never got a chance. The rain slid off the sleeve of my suit, onto the wet grass, I smiled for the sake of a girl who made her brother promise something, she couldn't withhold herself, Good Bye Arylan, You promised, but you're not coming back

Jade

It's.all.my.fault it's my fault everyone is broken inside and out, my fault Max's sister is dead, my fault that no one can speak. But I accept it, and I make it my personal responsibility to get vengeance, for the girl that died for someone she never met. I'll kill scorpion, I'll make him pay, extermination, is the only solution. I flexed my metal hand, using both biomedical science and engineering, I managed to connect my forearm to a prosthetic, and it worked like a charm, tightening my hand, curling my fingers into a fist I clenched and unclenched my mechanic miracle as the thoughts of vengeance flew through my head, it was a good life

Knock-knock

Jackie get the door! A boy yelled, shut up pigeon! The girl walked over to the door and grabbed the handle, Marcus I NEED your help! Take the lift! A english girl exclaimed. Calm down you twat a boy called back, all of you shut up! I'm trying to focus a boy cried out, max the rest wailed in unison. Oh shi...Bam! The door flew open and an officer tackled the girl, no one move! You're all under arrest!
