A/n: this chapter is unbelievable long, tell me how you liked it ;D

POV Y/n

Hider.

I was the Hider.

I had to hide, Adriana would have to look for me. If she found me, she would kill me.

I was totally screwed.

I looked at Adriana, she was taking her gun from the guard. A revolver. She would kill me without hesitation. She had betrayed me before, why not again? No, I could not trust her.

I looked at Sae, she was also picking up a weapon, she was a seeker. I was pretty sure that she will survive, but I won't.

I stared at her until she finally looked me in the eyes. Hers widened in shock and filled with fear when she realized that I had to hide.

I immediately noticed how she began to construct a plan in her head to protect me, because whenever she did so, she would lower her left eyebrow a little and scratch the nail of her little finger with her thumb.

Inconspicuously, I shook my head in response and managed to smile reassuringly at her. I would like to say that I could do it, but shall I be honest? I had absolutely no idea.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The starting gun sounded and we three hiders each ran in a different direction.
We had 5 minutes to hide. The seekers then have 20 minutes to find us.

I just ran straight ahead until I started to gasp and almost couldn't breathe. I stopped to gather myself again.

Around me there were only thick trees and bushes, but these are not good hiding places. Besides, I had to find a place where I could defend myself in case of an emergency. I decided to continue to the right and then left, then right, then left, and so on.

I was careful not to step on the moss but on the stones, otherwise Adriana could easily see my footprints.

"Players, you have 2 minutes left to hide"

Shit I really had to find something now, but what?!

There were tree trunks to my right, but I would definitely not crawl in there and survive for 20 minutes. That would be too easy.

I looked up at the trees and discovered a hole on one further back. An owl's nest! But wouldn't that be too easy?

"One more minute!"

I had no other choice and had to count on my luck. I ran and started climbing the tree. It was pretty high, so I didn't even look down at first.

Finally I reached the top, panting, and held on to the edge of the opening.

"10 seconds left"

Just quickly pull yourself in and then-"

"OUCH," I screamed and could have punched myself right after. I pulled my right hand to my lips and tasted blood. Great, apparently someone else is already living-

Again the beak of the owl pecked me on the fingers and on the back of my hand. I also pulled my other bleeding hand to me in pain.

What can I say.

Biggest mistake I have ever made in my life.

I fell with a sharp scream, slamming against the lower branches again and again until I hit the ground. For a small moment I couldn't breathe and I could have sworn I heard my ribs crack.
