"There are hilichurl archers up there-"
"Great, take them out."You didn't wait for Amber to confirm before jumping into the fray. The monsters looked up in shock as you plunged down before manifesting your illusion.
"Wanna play?"
"YAH!" was their answer. Raising their clubs, they charged you. You grinned. One by one they fell, victims of your swift slices.
"No one escapes my sights!" Amber yelled. You heard a screech as the hilichurl shooter fell. You turned just as Amber hopped down from her perch.
"Not bad for an archer."
She huffed. "Is there something wrong with that?"
You smiled. "No." You walked up to her, casually putting your blade to her neck. "But what will you do in close combat?"She froze, staring at you. What did she get herself into?
You laughed, pulling away. "Come on! Let's clear out the rest."

It was pouring. You should have asked Amber for a map before she left. Where are you going to go without directions? You sighed. Were you too hard on her? Shaking your head, you stopped yourself. This world has no room for compassion.
You decided to follow the path on your left. Going right would lead you back to the city. As you started walking, a thought snuck into your head. You paused. Why not just leave? If you went now, no one would be any the wiser. So why not? You crossed your arms, resting your head against your chest.
"The world simply isn't big enough. One day, you'll run out of land. You have to start somewhere... right?"
You scoffed. Wise words. Where did that get you... Brother?
"What did you get, for defending me?" You lifted your head. "Cheer up."
"You're already dead."
