Lisa clearly wasn't as rusty as she projected herself to be. The temple was lit up with flashes of lightning.
"Good work L/N!"
She reached out a hand, placing it on your shoulder. You flinched, and so did she, recoiling as if she was burnt. For a few seconds, you stared at each other. You bowed your head slightly. "It was a pleasure working with you." You abruptly spun around and left the temple, walking as swiftly as possible.

Lisa glanced down at her hand, scrutinizing it. Elemental energy. She looked up, trying to catch a glimpse of L/N, but she had already left.
"That wasn't from her vision."

You quickened your pace, eager to get as far away from the city as possible. The less you were around them, the better. Making your way through the forest, you folded your arms, feeling cold. Your eyes skirted your flanks, keeping watch for hilichurls or other threats.
The canopy of leaves slowed the rain to a soft patter. You were soaked, but at least your clothes would be clean. Continuing onwards, you bumped into something and stumbled back. Lifting your gaze, you drew your sword.
There was nothing there.
A pyro agent?
You held your sword out in front of you before making a few quick slashes within a certain perimeter. There was no sign of movement, no sound, not even a breath. Going forwards would almost definitely lead you into a trap. Breaking from the path, you swore you could hear laughing. Maybe it's just the wind.
That statement had never been true before.
Coming to an open glade, you were blocked, again. You gave a slight huff of annoyance. You heard a little whistle from above you. Turning your gaze to the treetops, you noticed a short boy dressed in green, lyre in hand.
"Y/N!"
You crossed your arms. "You sound like you know me." The boy had a cheeky grin plastered on his face. "Not personally! But the wind hears all and knows all." You opened your mouth to speak, but he interrupted. "How 'bout a song?"
"No." He was already strumming.
" Wounds unseen and secrets untold
What is it that makes your heart so cold?"
His twin braids had a glowing aura surrounding them. You wanted to leave, get away from this, but the simple melody had you rooted in place.
"Silent, freezing, out of place
Perhaps you need a warm embrace."
"A hug." You spat. By now there was a soft breeze blowing around you, and a beam of sunshine fell at your feet.
"Staying, going, 6 out of 7
Be on guard for 4 of the 11."
The tune ended, and you could move again. The boy smiled. "How was that?" You returned his smile, though it was much colder. "Since you like rhymes so much, here's one. Roses are red. Violets are blue. If you come down, I promise, I might not kill you."
He let out an airy laugh, floating down from his perch. "Hey, that's no way to treat your savior!" Examining him, you mouthed a silent Oh.
"Judging from your expression, you seem to have figured out who I am."
Your features shone with amusement. "Well, to what do I owe this visit, Barbatos? "
His smile turned from playful to wry.
"I need a favor."
