One of the most egregious examples of the Trump administration efforts to undermine bedrock environmental protections is the 2020 Dirty Water Rule, which left over 60 percent of America's rivers, streams, lakes, wetlands, and other waters exposed and vulnerable to pollution and degradation, including over 90 percent of rivers and streams in the desert Southwest.
Thankfully, the EPA and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have committed to revising the rule. But while they work on the revision, a process that could take years, these precious, life-giving waters remain without federal protection.
Without clean water there is no life, so use your voice to stand up for clean water protections and demand that the 2020 Dirty Water Rule be immediately rescinded while a revision is being finalized.
