After a while, we're told to go to our rooms.

I walk up the stairs.. definitely not because i'm scared of lifts.
I'm not.
I just prefer the stairs because they're safer.

Anyways,
I search for my- our room.

Gagging at the thought.

And right now, i'm walking in the hallways struggling to find-
"Are you looking for your room ma'am?" A ginger-haired girl asks.

Thank fuck.

"Oh yeah, i am. I've been looking for the past couple of minutes but i can't find it."

"You're with Mr. Mendes, Aren't you?"

I nod.
When you say it like that, it makes it sound weird.

"Oh, you're not on this floor with most of the school. A special room had been reserved for Mr. Mendes by his father. Its on the floor above to the right."

My jaw drops.
You've GOT to be kidding.

"Room number 69." She chuckles.

What. The. Actual. Fuck.
"uh.. right." I stumble upon my words.

I enter the fourth floor. Alright, to the r-
I was just about to take a turn, when I bump into someone, A boy around my age with black hair and dark brown eyes.

"Sorry! Are you okay?" He looks into my eyes, apologizing.

"Yeah, i'm alright. Are you?"

He nods his head, grinning.

I pause before continuing.
"Wait, you're from my school."

"Yeah. You're Alara, right? i'm Theo, Theo Carter." He introduces as he puts his hand out for me to shake.

"Nice to meet you, Theo. I'm Alara Whitlock." I speak, shaking his hand.

"Nice to meet you t-"

Before he could continue, a deep voice interrupts him.
"What are you doing with her theo?" Keldan spits out.

Go away you little rat.
Why is an angel like Theo friends with Satan himself?

"C'mon, we've got better things to do than talk to low-lives like her." He sneers, eyeing me up and down.

I roll my eyes and look towards theo.
he looks at me apologetically, i give him a nod and walk to the room.

I put in the key-card and open the door, my eyebrows raising seeing the room and i would be lying if i said it wasn't beautiful.

My gaze shifts towards the big clear window behind the curtains, which i think shows all of New York. I could see the city lights with little cars moving around.
I can't take my eyes off it.

I stare at it for a couple minutes before someone decides to disturb the peace.

"Are you done?"
I look behind me to see keldan leaning against the door.

Not him again. Why is he everywhere?
"No, go away." I deadpan, turning back around.

"May i remind you, princess, this is my room."

Princess?
It's sarcastic.

"May i remind you, dumbfuck, i'm gonna be staying here too!" I roll my eyes, looking annoyed.

"Were you born to make my life a living hell?" He groans, dragging his hands on his face.

"I was born to give the world an upgrade from people like you." I smile sarcastically.

He mocks me, doing the same before huffing.
