Dear Sister Gloria,
I have long planed to write to you, now sadly it is under unfortunate circumstances. I could, and would love to lie to you, to omit the sins I have committed that have brought me here, but it is decided by the king that I might only be free to join you, if I inform you about every sinful thing I have been accused of.
I am a sinner. I have long harbored sinful thoughts about her majesty, the princess. Instead of confessing to the priest as soon as I noticed satans influence on my soul I kept it secret and thus didn't only put my but also the princesses soul in danger. Only as my sinful thoughts were discovered I started searching for forgiveness.
Still, in his mercy, the king decided to spare my life. Instead I shall be exiled with the beginning of the new year, or, if I can get the good will of a man or woman of god, they might take me in instead, to purge me of my sin. So please, dear sister, if you have hope for my soul, write fast and take me in.
Sincerely and in dire need of your help,
Maria of Heartwood
