"Mr. Von Eldritch was more than welcoming to us visiting and swore his pet wouldn't do anything sneaky underwater to us..."

What Rasim heard was "An Eldritch abomination wouldn't drag any demons from their entourage down into the dark depths of a bottomless abyss...to—

It went unsaid but Rasim understood rather pointedly what the princess meant by the reason Frederick's "pet" is there. To protect the underwater entrance into the Prince of Envy's private home.

Everyone was so on board with the idea of a two day beach trip, even Miruku.

Miruku however sensed his hesitation. "Rasim? Are you alright my love?"

"I'm fine." He noticed the curious and suddenly concerned eyes of his...friends...and he addressed Charlie's earlier excitement with a kind smile. "A beach day sounds lovely Charlie!"

He closed his eyes as he grinned but Miruku wasn't fooled. She casually pulled him away from the excitement as everyone else eagerly returned to their beach day plans. The couple's tactical retreat went unseen by all save for the keen eyes of the Williams family who kept it to themselves.

Miruku spoke softly. "Rasim, what's wrong?"

"I just...don't particularly like the idea of swimming in the—ocean—anytime soon."
