Chapter 9

3 days later, as Shinso had gone out with Aizawa, Denki, whom was home alone, got a phone call from the doctor's office. Hikori's test results had come back.

"Hello?"

"Hello. Is this Kaminari Denki or Shinso Hitoshi?"

"Oh! Sorry! This is Kaminari Denki."

"This is Doctor Sara. I have your son's test results back."

"Oh good!"

"So it seems that there is no clear indicator as to what caused your son to develop his quirk so early. Do you remember what ages you and your husband got your quirks?"

"Um... I got my quirk age 6 so it was pretty late than the usual age, and Hitoshi... I think he got his around 4 or 5. I'm not quite sure."

"OK. So it seems that maybe, because you got your quirk at a late age and your husband got his at the right age, it could just mean that your son is trying to even out the balance."

"OK. That seems reasonable."

"Now. The other results have come back as well."

"Alright."

"It seems that your son got the short straw. He's got ADHD, Insomnia and will have an 80% chance of developing Dyslexia."

"Geez... OK then."

"We can prescribe some medication for his Insomnia and ADHD, in which he can take."

"OK. Thanks you."

"No problem. Have a good day."

"You too."

After the call ended, Shinso, Aizawa, Mic, Eri and Kota arrived. Shinso walked over and planted a kiss on his partner's lips, on his way to the kitchen.

"So I just got a call from the doctor's regarding Hikori's tests." Denki began.

"Alright. What were the results?" Shinso questioned, the other adults just as curious.

"First; there is nothing to worry about with his quirk, apparently it could just be his body trying to even out the fact that I got mine age 6 and you got yours around age 4 or 5."

"What about the other test results?"

"He's got ADHD, Insomnia and has an 80% chance of developing Dyslexia as he gets older."

"Fuuuuck. That's a lot to take in. How are you guys gonna handle that?!" Eri cried.

"They said that they could prescribe medication for his insomnia and ADHD, but there is nothing we can do for his Dyslexia. But it doesn't matter. I can help him with it, though, having it myself."

"Good idea."

"Welp. I better go and pick up Hikori. I'll see you guys, soon."

Denki then left the house and headed towards Hikori's preschool.

As Denki waited out the front of the school building, He didn't realise that Kirishima, Deku and Sero had come up to him. He must've been so lost in thought he didn't realise.

"Hey, Denkibro!" Kiri beams, flashing his shark teeth.

"Oh! Hey guys!" Denki replied as he turned around.

"You OK, Kaminari-kun? You seem lost in thought." Deku asked.

"Oh! Nah, I'm fine. I just got a call from the doctor's regarding some blood test results for Hikori."

"Everything OK?" Sero added.

"Yeah. I found out that he's got ADHD, Insomnia and will get dyslexia when he gets older."

"So it seems that he didn't just get a combination of your quirks, but a combination of your medical conditions, too." Sero teased.

"Oh fuck off, Sero! We can cope with it. We'll just have to take it one step at a time."

"Good plan." Kirishima praised.

The bell had rung and the teachers opened up the doors, allowing the children out. When Hikori spotted his dad, he and his friends ran towards them. Hanna jumped into Sero's arms, Eijitski stood with her hands on her hips before her father, flashing her fangs, while Irei wrapped his arms around his dad's legs in a hug. Denki crouched down to his son's level.

"Hey, Hik?" Denki whispered.

"Yes, daddy?"

"Would you like to invite your friends to your birthday party?"

The little boy's eyes went wide with pure innocence and joy. He beamed so big that it could be just as big as Sero's. the boy turned to his friends.

"Hey, Kiripima? Midowia? Hanna?" Hikori asked.

"Yes, Shinso?" Hanna replied, the rest turning to the little boy's initial direction.

"Would you like to come to my birfday party?"

The 3 little kids turned towards their parents, whom looked at each other, then Denki, then their kids.

"Of course, Irei."

"Por supuesto que puedes ir, Hanna!"

"I don't see why not! We'll see you then. What day is it again, Denks?"

"April 15th."

"Alright then! Say bye, Eijitski."

The little girl waved as she ran off. As Midoriya and his son left, the little boy smiled. Just as Sero and his daughter were about to leave, Hanna ran up Hikori and gave him a big bear hug before running back to her dad and grabbing his hand. Denki placed Hikori's backpack over his shoulder and placed the boy on his shoulders before walking off.
