Zavriel's Pov

Hmm.. its been days since she messaged me properly. I mean we're supposed to be calling or chatting each other quite a lot. And really she's the first one to message me but then lately... She'll only message me if I messaged first. Then she'll reply differently. Should I go to her place now?

Aish but I remembered, and I just asked my friend who lives near her that the signal there is poor. So maybe she can't message me because the signal is too poor?

Argh! But I can't stop worrying!

"Have you contacted Khiena?" Joven asked.

I shook my head as an answer.

He then clenched his fist and got his phone to dial someone. "Hello? Rosella? Have you seen Khiena?" He asked. "Hmm okay. Okay. You sure she's fine? Wait what? Hmm... Something's wrong. Can you look after her? I mean can you check on her now if you're not busy? Okay okay thank you"

Then he ended the call.

"What did she say?" I asked him.

"She haven't seen Khiena going outside their house. But when she takes glimpses, she just see her cleaning"

"Hmm I see" I nodded.

*phone ring*

I got my phone and answered the call even thought it was from an unknown number.

["Hello? Is this Kuya Zav?"]

"Yes"

I turned on my loud speaker since I recognized the voice. It was Khiena's step sister Angel.

["Ku-kuya Zav h-help Ate Khie----ahh! ANONG GINAGAWA MONG BATA KA?! SINO TONG KAUSAP MO?! ANONG TINATAGO MO HA?! PATI BA NAMAN IKAW SUSUWAY SA AKIN?! HALIKA DITO---"]

My eyes grew widened out of shock. What the heck?! I have a bad feeling about this.

"The f*ck is going on?! I'm going there right now! I'll come with you" Joven said and I did not respond.

But I really need him since I'm not familiar with the place.

"This is going to be a long ride since its a province" Joven said as we got inside my car.

"I hope she's okay"

"I hope so. Though their father sounded so different now" he said.

"Huh? What do you mean?" I asked confused.

"I think their father became even worse"

If that's the case, I shouldn't have let her gone back. I hope we're not late.

Khiena's Pov

Napaluha ako nang makita kong ikinulong na rin ni tatay si Angel.

'Sabi ko naman sayo pumunta ka na ng ospital at wag na mangealam dito'

"Khiena! Halika dito! Bilisan mo!"

Pinahid ko ang aking luha at nag-ayos na muna ng sarili bago ako lumapit kay tatay.

"Bakit ho?" Tanong ko.

"Heto. Binilhan kita. Mukhang bagay yan sayo. Isuot mo yan. Mag-ayos ka na ngayon at isuot mo yan ngayon! Bilis!"

"Para saan po ito----" pinutol na niya ang sasabihin ko.

"Sundin mo na lang ako. O baka nakakalimutan mo na hawak ko na ang buhay ng kapatid mo?" Pananakot niya.
