Enemies to Lovers

Part 24

You walk into the room to see Natasha sitting up on the bed talking to Sam. She quickly notices you and opens her arms for you to hug her. You rush in the room with a smile and tears in your eyes and hug her tightly.
"Thank god your okay." She whispers in your ear still holding you.
"Me? What about you?" You say and let go of each other. Bucky stands behind you as he gives Sam a look for him to leave so you can be alone with Natasha.
Bucky and Sam leave the room and they close the door behind them.
"I thought you were dead." You say and sit next to Nat.
"It takes a lot more then that to kill me." She says jokingly and gently nudged your arm. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you."
"It's not your fault and I don't blame you. There was just too many of them. Besides, I knew they would find us." You say with a smile. You can see the shame and guilt on her face from the fact that she wasn't able to stop the terrorists from taking you.
"So, there is something I actually wanted to tell you." You say blushing and hoping this will cheer her up.
"From how red your face is I'm guessing it has to do with Bucky?" She asks with the biggest smirk on her face.
You let out a large smile and nod.
"So, cats out of the bag?" She asks and you nod in silence.
"I meant what I said, you two are good for each other." She says with a smile and nudges your arm.
"Sam told me what happened at the church after they rescued you." Natasha adds quickly.
"I know something happened but not 100% on what the whole story is" you admit and Natasha tells you how Tony launched a missile, destroying the church and everyone in it.
"Good. They would've came after anyone us again." You say looking down, realizing you still have no pants on.
"Honestly, I agree. But Steve and Sam don't. They believe there was a better way to end it. Steve has always been the 'glass half full' type. Always trying to save everybody."
"Even the assholes who tried to kill us?" You say sarcastically.
"Yes. He still would do anything to save us but not at the cost of choosing who lives and who dies."
"What happens now?" You ask looking up at Natasha who still has a swollen eye.
"We go home and heal." She says with a smile and pulls you in for one last hug before Bucky and Tony walk in.
"For gods sake, y/n. Where are your pants?" Tony asks annoyed.
You and Natasha laugh as Bucky passes you a pair of sweats and you quickly slip them on.
"Fury has agreed to let us stay here until we figure out what to do about the compound.
"Why what happened?" Natasha asks.
"It's a mess, got ransacked." Bucky says and you remember the damage that was caused in the lab when you were taken.
"Great, so I'm not a prisoner at the compound but also here too." You say sarcastically.
"Well you are more then welcome to step outside while we are at 30,000 feet." Tony says jokingly and you force out a fake laugh.
"I'll show you to your room y/n. Are you okay to walk?" Bucky asks as he holds out his hand for you to take. Slightly struggling to stand up, you take his hand and shake you head. Bucky smiles and slowly walks out of the room with you still holding his hand.
"I'm not sure how I feel about the two of them together." Tony says to Natasha as he watches you walk down the hall and out of sight around the corner.
"Don't start with the over protective brother thing. They bring out the best of each other. Besides, she can protect herself. And if needed, he won't hesitate to be a human shield to protect her." Natasha says, reminding Tony of the attack at the cafe.
"Mmm maybe your right." Tony says with a sigh.
