Kahit meron na si Kuya Ethan, kami pa rin ni Chester yung partner sa kasal ni Dom. The tuxedo Kuya Ethan brought didn't match the motif. Tinext kami ni Dom na ganun yung mangyayari.

"You're so pogi!" I said then kissed Kale.

He giggled. "What's pogi mommy?"

"Handsome. You're so big already. Don't grow up too fast. Stay as my baby."

He kissed my cheeks. "But, I need to grow so I can protect you."

I was lost for words. What did I do to deserve him? Chester was busy watching us. His eyes stayed with us the whole time I'm fixing Kale's tux.

"Thanks, baby." I said then briefly kissed his cheek.

"But, I'm not big enough now, so daddy will protect you."

Napatingin ako kay Chester. He walked towards us, my throat felt dry, then I was astounded when he hugged me from my back as I hugged Kale, too. In that moment that felt like eternity, I felt complete.

"Of course, I'll protect you and mommy, always."

I didn't put malice on that. Syempre nakaharap yung bata. Pumunta kami sa pagdadausan ng kasal. It was dreamy. Ikakasal din kaya ako?

"Mommy, will Nongnong still visit us? Or he'll stay in Cebu already?"

"He'll visit you if he get a chance to. We'll call him everyday if you want." I assured him.

"Okay...I'm sleepy."

Umupo sya sa lap ko at inihilig ang ulo sa balikat ko. Chester's hand was at the back of my chair. Hindi ko na lang pinansin nung nanatili don, kasi nung una hawak yun ni Kale.

"Do you want to go? Baka mahirapan ka." Biglang sabi nya.

Nagpaalam na lang kami kila Dom. Naintindihan naman nila. I just texted my friends. Pagpasok namin sa kwarto ay dineretso ko sya sa kama. Kumuha naman ng wipes si Chester. Binihisan namin sya, tulog na tulog sya kahit anong pilit kong gisingin.

"Mauna ka ng maligo." Sabi ni Chester. I saw his phone rang and the caller id was the bitch I still hate.

Padabog pa akong pumasok ng CR. Hindi naman nya nakita kasi dumiretso sya sa terasa. I took my time to bath and think. Why am I this annoyed? Or dahil malapit na kaya yung period ko?

Pagbalik ko ng kwarto ay wala pa rin sya, may kausap pa din. Isang oras na tawagan? Sabik na sabik? Magsama kayo.

Humiga na ako at niyakap na lang si Kale. He moved and buried his face on my chest. I was humming the song I used to make him sleep before. How soothing to have someone that is surely a constant in your life.
