Gaya ng dati maaga silang nagising na dalawa, handa na yung agahan noong nakarating ako sa mesa. Kale was dressed to his uniform while Chester was casually wearing a Dior shirt and an acid-washed pants with ripped on its knees.

"Morning!" I said smiling, both of them went to me and kissed me.

"Two hours lang yung pasok niya, ikaw kung iuuwi mo or gagala kayo," sabi ko noong tapos na kaming kumain. Kinuha ni Kale yung bag niyang captain america sa couch at naglakad pabalik sa amin.

"What time will your duty ends?"

"Around 5 pm? May endorsement pa." Sagot ko.

His gentle eyes never left mine. "We'll just visit our house here, will that bore him?"

"Probably. Ask him, maybe he'll be excited."

We separated when we were at the intersection, alam naman na niya yung gagawin niya sa school ni Kale, I just flashed my signal then drove in a different lane.

My first agenda was to inform my department head that I'm declining their offer to continue my practice in their institution. Medyo tumagal pa yung usapan kasi akala talaga nila after ng fellowship ay sa kanila na talaga ako magtratrabaho, that was the original plan, but my life awaits in Manila. And that life was the life I prayed and imagined before, I wouldn't trade that to anything now even it involves my career.

As decided, I needed to finish my remaining week to complete my training. Nakapagsabi na rin ako sa mga co-staff ko, I'm blessed I had the chance to work with good people. Hindi ako nahirapan, at naiintindihan nilang may anak ako na may mga pagkakataon na hindi ako makakapasok dati.

Dahil regular duty na lang ako ng isang linggo, maaga akong nakalabas ng hospital. Chester and Kale picked me up.

"Mommy!" Kale shouted when I sat on the shotgun seat, he was seated at back.

Chester kissed me briefly after I fixed my seatbelt. "Hi, baby."

"Hi," I answered shyly. "Baliw ka, nakatingin si Kale," bulong ko.

He laughed and looked at the mirror. "You okay there, buddy?"

"Yes, daddy!" Kale replied loudly. "Let's go, I wanna eat chicken joy."

"No, we had in-and-out yesterday. What did I say about fastfood?" I argued. Sumimangot silang mag-ama.

"But, that's not Jollibee." Kale complained. "Daddy made me eat vegetable for lunch."

I sighed and stared at Chester who just started driving. Ngumiti naman ang kumag na parang nag-mamakaawa din.

"Fine!" I surrendered. Both of them laughed. Parang ako pa yung nawalan ng kakampi ngayon.

"Just find a place, ako na mag-order," utos ko. Buhat-buhat ni Chester si Kale. They are each other's best friend already, magkakampi sila sa lahat. He was so excited about this before, naalala kong sinasabi niya dating iispoil niya yung magiging anak namin. Lalo pa kaya kung babae yung anak namin.

I ordered a bucket of chicken and other side meals, pagpunta ko sa napili nilang mesa ay nagkwekwentuhan sila, they were both laughing and even fist bumping.

"Ano pinag-uusapan niyo?" Tanong ko pagkaupo ko.

"Nothing," Chester answered. "How many minutes we'll wait?"
