Ran from the wedding (Chapter 42)

They were about to return when it started raining so they ran to the nearest shade. 

Pakhi: Baarish ko bhi abhi aana tha. Hum zyada der ghar par nahi mile toh gadbad ho jayegi. { It had to rain now only. If I am not at home for long I'll be in trouble.}

Aadav: Itna kyu darti ho unse? Kya kar lenge woh log? { Why are you so scared of them? What will they do?}

Pakhi: Pata nahi. Maa sa aur baba sa ne jo sikhaya hai bachpan se, wahi karte hai hum. Aadav kunwar sa? { I don't know. Whatever my parents had taught me in childhood, I just follow that. Prince Aadav?}

Aadav: Ha? { Yes?}

Pakhi: Aap hume aapka naam bolne kyu bolte hai? Hum toh mohabatt bhi karte hai ek dusre se. { Why do you ask me to say your name? We even love each other.}

Aadav: Kyunki hume nahi pasand ki hum aapko Pakhi bulaye par aap hume Aadav na buaye. Aur humare rajiya mein na bahut kuch alag hai. { Because I don't like that I call you Pakhi but you don't call me Aadav. And in my kingdom everything is very different.}

Pakhi: Aapke rajiya mein kaisa hota hai phir? Ab hum bhi waha aane hi waale hai, sab pata hona chahiye na. { How is it in your kingdom then? Now I am going to come there, I should know everything right.}

He smiled and said her everything about his kingdom. She imagined her entire future there as he did. She also shared all her wishes, all her thoughts with him, which she never did with anyone after her parents. Her wishes and thoughts didn't matter here because after marriage she could share them with her husband only and her husband didn't care. 

Pakhi: Hume samajh nahi aata, kunwar sa hume aazad kyu nahi kar dete? Yeh shaadi sirf ek jan ki na se nahi toot sakti. Humne itni baar kaha, woh humesha mana kar dete hai. { I don't understand, why doesn't he free me? This marriage can't be broken by just one person saying no. I said so many times, he always denies.}

Aadav: Unhe bata do na humare baare mein. { Tell him about us no then.}

Pakhi: Nahi. Unhe pata chala toh hume ek kamre mein band kar denge taki hum aapse na mil sake, bolenge ki woh humare pati hai toh unka hum par hak hai, unki ijaazat ke bina hum dusri shaadi nahi kar sakte. Aur hume bahut kuch sunaya jayega. Aur bharosa nahi, hume roz maarne bhi lag jaye. { No. If he finds out he'll lock me in a room so that I am not able to meet you, he'll say that he is my husband so has right over me, without his permission I can't do second marriage. And I'll have to hear many things. And he can't be trusted, he may start hitting me everyday.}

Aadav: Aap par pehle kisine haat uthaya hai? { Has anyone ever raised their hand on you?}

Pakhi: Ha, unhone uthaya tha ek baar. Tab maine pehli baar dekha tha use, isliye pehechana nahi. Aur bas isliye ki maine use pehechana nahi use laga hum uski bezati kar rahe hai. Aur jab usne unhe bola ki humne uska apmaan kiya hai, toh unhone hum par haat uthaya bina sach sune. Unhe laga hume jalan ho rahi thi, jabki hume unse pyaar hi nahi hai, unhone kabhi aisa kuch kiya hi nahi jisse hume unse thoda bhi lagaav ho. { Yes, he had once. At that time I had seen her for the first time, so didn't identify her. And just because I couldn't identify her she felt I am insulting her. And when she said him that I insulted her, he raised his hand on me without even listening the truth. He thought I was getting jealous, when I don't love him only, he never did anything which will make me feel even a little bit attachment towards him.}

Aadav: Itne saal kaise rahi waha par? { How did you live there for so many years?}

Pakhi: Yahi naseeb tha humara. Baarish rukh gayi hai, hum jaate hai. { It was my destiny. The rain has stopped, I'll go now.}

He nodded and both went from there. After one month. Today was the marriage. And Pakhi looked even more happier than the couple which Daksh and his mother found suspicious and kept an eye on her by some guards. She didn't show it, but the different glow on her face showed it. Pakhi was in her room getting ready as she remembered what they had decided. 

Flashback: 

Pakhi: Mujhe waha nahi rehna ab aur. Kitne din chupau bache ko? { I don't want to live there anymore. For how log can I hide the child?}

Aadav: Bhaag jate hai. Un dono ki shaadi ke din hum bhaag jayege. { Let's run away. We'll run away on the day of their marriage.}

She chuckled at how it sounded but nodded. 

Pakhi: Thik hai, mai pehle hi saari tayari kar lungi. { Ok, I will do all the arrangements priorly.}

He smiled and nodded. 

Flashback ends. 

Once ready she went out to check all the decorations. She instructed few of the workers to make the things proper. The guards were looking at her in shock, not understanding her. What kind of girl is she? Was the only question in their minds. Honestly, even if Aadav wouldn't have entered her life, she would have done all this. Soon the couple was in the mandap. Between the crowd, she ran to her room and took her bag. She looked at Aadav who was already there and held his hand. Both ran away. By the time guards realised this, they were gone. They informed Daksh's mother and as soon as the marriage was done, they both went where the guards were. They saw Aadav and Pakhi running with their hands still intertwined. 

Daksh: PAKHI. AADAV. 

They both were shocked but continued running when an arrow hit Aadav's leg and he fell down. They removed the arrow and started running again but Daksh caught up and held Pakhi's hand tightly. She tried to free herself ignoring the pain and was successful but he pulled her hair, pulling her away from Aadav and slapped her hard, making her fall down. 

Aadav: PAKHI. 

When Daksh ordered the guards to beat Aadav they didn't. It took a lot of courage to disobey him, but they didn't support the wrong. This made him more angry and he took out a gun. Both got scared seeing the gun. Pakhi stood up somehow and went to Aadav. She kept her hand on her stomach and he smiled slightly. He went on one knee keeping his hand on her stomach. 

Aadav: Hum dono aapse bahut pyaar karte hai, humesha karenge. { We both love you a lot, always will.}

Pakhi: Hum aapse jald milege. { We'll meet you soon.}

And both were shot. They fell down with Aadav's hands around Pakhi, one under her head, and his head on her stomach. Soon the guards were taken from there and prisoned. The three people were lying there dead, slowly making their way further towards the next phase of their lives. Meanwhile Daksh returned to his room, spending his first night with his second wife, not caring about the lives he just took.
