lee donghyuck was a happy boy. he loved sharing his happiness with others, as he got nicknamed "haechan," meaning "fullsun."

it was a no-brainer that the boy wanted to help out at the local hospital, specifically with the younger adults.

there was one patient he noticed, however.

he didn't look like there was anything wrong with him. but looks can be deceiving.

"are you okay?" donghyuck asked, looking at the aforementioned boy.

he glared back. "i'm so fucking happy i could jump to the moon. can you leave me alone?"

the boy slurred out his words, just a bit.

alright then.

"i can't exactly do that... reonjeo– no, your name is written weirdly. renjun."

renjun's eyes widened at the mention of his name. "fuck off. and fyi, my name is chinese."

"can you at least tell me what's wrong with you?!" donghyuck was getting sick and tired.

renjun jumped up from his seat. "i have als, okay? there. i'm going to fucking die in six fucking months and there's nothing i can fucking do about it!"

donghyuck rubbed his temples. that boy swears like a sailor.

"so now you're quiet."

"i'm thinking."

an idea planted itself into donghyuck's head, and the next day he went back to renjun.

"a bucket list."

"a what?"

donghyuck sighed. "a bucket list. a list of things you want to do before you die."

"is this like a team building exercise or something?" renjun scoffed.

the former grabbed some paper and a pen. "if you want it to be."

donghyuck handed renjun the pen, and the latter held onto it, thoughts drifting through his mind.

renjun glared. "stop judging." the pen fell from his hand. "fuck. stupid fucking als."

donghyuck pressed his lips into a firm line. "alright then. let me give it a title."

he took the paper swiftly, scrawling a quick title.
