Chapter 5

****Sonny's POV****

"What the hell Carisi?!" Amanda said

"I didn't know what to do, she's lying and I clearly see that." I said

"We are trying to help her open up not shut her down."
Amanda said

"You wanna tell me why the hell Nina was brought down here in handcuffs?" I heard Olivia say as she was walking down the hallway with Elliot towards us

"Listen Liv, the kid is clearly lying and I just had to do something before whoever's abusing her does something to her or she does something to herself."
I said

"Carisi, Rollins, Benson, Stabler, my office Now."
Captain Cragen said

We all followed him to his office and he shut the door behind him, when Cragen pulls anyone in the office it's usually big.

"What the hell was you thinking arresting a victim Carisi?!" Cragen said

"Captain look..." I tried to explain and was cut off

"You know there is not one damn thing we can do if she doesn't confess to anything or talk about it." Cragen said

"She's 12 years old!! Is anyone not thinking about that?!"I yelled

"Alright everyone out, Carisi you stay."
Cragen said

Everyone left and shut the door and Cragen looked down and then back to me

"What's going on?" Cragen said

I took a deep breath looked down and then back up

"Captain I don't know, I feel a connection to this girl I just met and then seeing her have all these suspicious marks I can't let it go."
I said

"Are you trying to tell me something here?"
Cragen said

"I noticed how blue her eyes are, they're just as blue as mine."
I said

"Has anyone told you that it's possible you had a kid?" Cragen asked

"No, not at all." I said

Cragen took a deep breath

"I'm going to send you back in to talk to her, and if she does not talk then we have to let her go and Just do random welfare checks."
Cragen said

"Ok, thanks captain."
I said

****Nina's POV***

I sat there looking around this room, I found some coloring pages and was drawing. I was sitting here wondering when the hell I would be leaving here and how much beatings I would get from Liam for this too.

I heard the door open and seen Sonny walk in with two bags and two drinks

"Hey Nina, I brought you some food since I pulled you out of school before lunch."
Sonny said as he put a bag of food and drink in front of me and sat across from me with the other bag and drink

"Thanks." I said opening up the bag and taking something to eat

"So I'm really sorry if I embarrassed you or humiliated you." Sonny said taking a bite of food

"So you don't hate me?" I asked

"Not at all, why would you ask that?"
Sonny asked

"You know just to ask I guess."
I shrugged my shoulders

"So do you care to tell me about yourself?" Sonny asked

"What do you wanna know?" I asked

"Anything." He said

What's the deal with this guy seriously...I thought

"So I'm 12 years old, I've been in foster care since I was 9 and my brother was 12 years old. We've been in 7 foster homes in the last 3 years. Some was good, some was bad. Our last home before Liam's was the best. But they couldn't care for us when the husband got sick. We've been with Liam for 6 months."
I said

"Do you like your foster home with Liam?" Sonny asked

I took a deep breath and looked down
Here's my chance to lie or tell the truth and maybe be able to get out of here.

I looked back up

"I plead the 5th."
I said too afraid to say anything

"That's fine I understand." Sonny said

I was shocked of how he responded

"Hey your eyes are really blue like mine."
I said looking directly at Sonny's eyes

"Yeah you know I noticed that earlier." Sonny said

"Do you have any kids?" I asked Sonny

"No I actually don't.." Sonny said

"Wow you seem like a dad type." I said

Sonny Just sorta chuckled

"Do you know anything about your biological parents?"
Sonny asked

"Well our dad Donald was out with our mom 3 years ago on a date and decided to drink and drive, thought he would be ok and wasn't, he crashed and our mom was killed at the scene. He got a plea deal of 5 years in prison and forever felon and no license forever." I said

"So what was your mom's name?" Sonny asked

"Her name was Sylvia, Sylvia Kieondra Jonas.
I still get to carry part of her name because my middle name is Kieondra."'
I Said

"So Miss Nina Kieondra Jonas, how long have you lived in San Diego?" Sonny asked

"My whole life, I want to go to Los Angeles one day. She lived there, graduated from high school there. She met my dad there I guess, got pregnant at 16 with Joe and finished school. They move here And then around the age of 20 she got pregnant with me." I said

"So your mom would be 32 now, the same age as me." Sonny said

"Yeah, wow! You're young." I laughed

We heard a knock at the door and Amanda opened the door

"Captain wants to see you Sonny ." Amanda Said
