Chapter 6

****Sonny's POV****

"I'll be right back." I said to Nina

"Ok." She smiled

I got up thinking about all the things that Nina told me trying to process our conversations and trying to figure out everything.

Amanda shut the door behind us

Captain was standing there

"Nick and Fin interviewed Nina's brother and he told the similar stories of what Nina is saying." Cragen said

"Well that's no surprise." I said

"I also watched your interview and she's not willing to confess to anything or go that way, we don't have enough to hold her or her brother." Cragen said

"Captain..." I Began to say

"Captain said you think you felt a connection to her, and after the fact I noticed  you both have identical really blue eyes." Amanda said

"I have no way to prove this, but the story she told about her parents. (I took a deep breath) sounds similar to an experience I had." I said

"Do you think she's yours?" Amanda said

"I went to highschool in Los Angeles, There was a girl named Sylvia she was absolutely beautiful, I loved her. I never told her though. She was dating..oh my God..." I said

"What?!" Amanda said

"She was dating a guy named Donald, she got pregnant when we was 16, I remembered her being in my chemistry class. We was partners and she was telling me how pissed her parents was she got pregnant so young. I had to handle the chemicals in projects because she couldn't since she was pregnant. She had a son, and I remember her coming back to finish school. Donald seemed like a good guy, you knew there was issues there. After graduation she told me she was moving to San Diego for better opportunities. I began my schooling and happen to come here to see if this is where I would wanna be once I got my certifications and all the good stuff. I happen to go to a bar, and Sylvia was there. We wasn't 21 yet so they wouldn't let us drink it was one of those shady bars....Anyways I seen her alone at the bar and I approached her. She smiled so brightly, We talked and I confessed to her how I felt. One thing led to another, we went back to my hotel and we had sex, it was the most magical night of my life. She had told me she married Donald and that he couldn't find out what happened or it would start a big issue, we made a deal to not ever say anything. I told her I loved her since high school and she said she felt the same but couldn't do anything since she had a son with him." I finished

I looked back through the window at Nina.

"Damn Carisi." Amanda said

"Maybe that's why I felt connected to her?" I said everything hitting me hard

"I'll call Barba and see if we can get a court order to DNA test her, I'm not sure if we have enough evidence and a hard solid proof of why and how." Cragen said

"Captain, Nina's foster dad Liam is here with her brother to pick up Nina." Nick said with a frown

"We can't let her go back to him!" I yelled

"Until we can get that court ordered DNA test without her telling us anything, there's not much I can do. Once we get this paternity test we'll bring her in."
Cragen said

I looked in at Nina, it was crazy I very possibly had a daughter out there all these years and never knew it. What are the odds I would be at her school one day for a presentation and run into her.

"I'll go get her." I said

****Nina's POV****

Sonny walked in and came over to my table and kneeled down

"Here's my Card." He slid it across to me

"Dominick Sonny Carisi" I said

"Yes, I prefer Sonny as why I didn't introduce myself as Dominick" he chuckled

"You know." I said as I looked down

I looked back Up to Sonny

"My mom mentioned knowing a Carisi to me in high-school. She never told me about this Carisi, she wanted to wait until I was older." I said

Sonny's Face was priceless

"If you ever need anything, you call me. Day or night."
Sonny said

"I don't have a phone." I said

"Here, now you do." Sonny pulled out a small cheap phone

"It's got my number programmed in it, just dial 1 and it calls my cell, you can also text." He said

"Oh great." I smiled

I leaned in and wrapped my arms Around Sonny's neck and hugged him.

He returned the favor

We let go of one another and he stood up and I stood up and I just grabbed his hand.

I think he was shocked, he held my hand back and I put the phone and his card in my pants pocket

We got to the squad room where Liam stood there with Travis and Joe. Joe didn't look happy at all and instantly I squeezed Sonny's hand

"Nina!" Liam yelled acting concerned

Liam ran over to me and I tried To hide behind Sonny

"Are you ok?" Liam pulled me out from behind Sonny

"Yeah." I said stressed

"Who brought you here?" He asked

I wanted to say but couldn't I didn't want to throw Sonny under the bus.

"I brought her here, as a precaution. Due to the cut on her face." Sonny said

"For the love of God people, my dog did that!" He yelled

Liam jerked me from Sonny's hand

"Let's go home now, thanks for holding my daughter."
Liam said

I turned around and looked at Sonny with a look of horror as Liam and Travis practically dragged me out with Joe

Sonny's face looked sad and even looked like he wiped a few tears from his eyes.

****Sonny's POV****

I wiped my eyes and just couldn't believe what I witnessed

"How long until Barba can get that paternity test court ordered?! I yelled

"He's working on it now." Cragen said
