Chapter 10

****Sonny's POV****

Olivia was driving us back to the precinct

"Fin just texted and said that Nina was entertaining the squad room. He put on some music she danced to at school and she's taking off. He also said that you wouldn't even know she just got out to the hospital after all the stuff that just happened to her; with the exception of the things you can see."
I said

"Sounds like we're off to a good start." Olivia said

We pulled into the parking lot and walked in

Nina was doing all sorts of crazy dance moves and just jumping around, the kid was good. She must have got that from her mom's side.

Fin turned off the music and said to her
"Someone's here to see you."

She turned and looked at me with those blue eyes and smiled and ran over to me

"Sonny!" She smiled

I picked her up and she wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me tight. I hugged her tight and carried her over to where everyone else was at.

"Make sure you all watch giving little homie caffeine, she's been bouncing off the walls since I gave her Mountain Dew but we got to see her cool Dance moves so it was all good." Fin laughed

Nina leaned up and kept her left arm around Me and looked back at Fin, while I was  was still holding her.

"That was so much fun though." Nina smiled

"It really was,"
Fin laughed

"Sonny where am I going to now?"
Nina looked me right in the eyes

"Olivia, you, and I are going to talk about it."
I said to her

"Can uncle Nick come too?" She asked

"Absolutely." I smiled

"Great." She wrapped her right arm back around my neck and laid her head on my shoulder

I rubbed my hand down her back and Carried her back to an interview room with Nick and Olivia

"Ok I gotta put you down now." I said to her

"No don't please." She said squeezing me

I looked at Olivia without Nina noticing and Olivia looked a-little concerned

"Well you can sit on my lap while we talk to you." I said

"Ok." She said

I sat down in a chair and Nina let go of my neck and continued to sit on my lap

"So Nina we want to talk to you about your living situation." Olivia said

"Can I ask something first?" She asked

"Of course." Olivia said

"So Nick told me about services being Friday for my brother, that my dad would be out of prison for a few hours for the services."
Nina said

To be honest it bothered me she identified Donald as her dad but she doesn't know any better yet so I guess it's ok.

I noticed Nick shooting me a glare

"How do I explain the healing of this cut on my face and what wounds aren't covered?" Nina asked

I didn't have a filter and spoke before I thought it through

"Nina you don't worry about what he has to say, its a time to remember your brother. We'll all be there with you." I said

Olivia's eyes got real big

"Ok." She said

"So where do I go tonight?"
She asked

"How do you feel about staying with Sonny for a little bit?" Olivia asked

"Really?!" Her face lit up

"Yeah, we got some strings pulled and wanted to keep you with someone you knew, his place passed the emergency foster system placement."
Olivia said

"How do you feel about that Sonny?" Nina looked at me right in the eyes

"It's whatever you want." I said to her
Really hoping this is going to work out and that she adjusts well.

"I'm ok to try it out." Nina smiled
