"Someone's looking good, here little princess" Steve said genuinely as he gave you a candy dramatically, going down on one knee.

"Thanks and I'm not little" You smiled accepting it dramatically, doing a princess bow.

You both chuckled and start placing the dishes out on the table.

By the time it was all done it was dark already, the watch showed 6.15, so Steve light up the fairy lights and oh your heart could not take how beautiful it all looked. A tiny fire set in front of the big, decorated Christmas tree, decorated with bells and lights and photos of you all from your childhood. Four wooden chairs placed around the fire. A long rectangle wooded table covered with white linen, decorated with all the different types of delicious dishes and a three-floors chocolate cake.

Just then the doorbell rang, and your eyes went wide in excitement as Steve opened the door.

 Peggy comes inside and your spirits fall a little.

God who was I even expecting?

You shake you thoughts off as you run and go hug Peggy, "Merry Christmas Peggy"

"Merry Christmas y/n, long time no see, you look beautiful darling" Peggy said returning the hug.

"Thank you and you look so beautiful too"

"Cookie's right, you look beautiful" Steve said, eyes locked at Peggy.

God he is so in love, if only he tells her this! Fingers crossed...

"Thank you" Peggy blushed and started walking towards the backyard.

"Steve stop blushing, you're embarrassing me" You whispered walking behind Steve so just he could hear.

"Shut up" Steve said looking at you then blushing more and looking down, and you just couldn't control you giggles looking at the literal human puppy.

You all sat down and started chatting.

"So where's Bucky, you said he'd be here too" Peggy asked looking at you two.

"He just called me; he'll be here any minute now" Steve said giving a reassuring smile.

And you all continued to talk. Few minutes later you went back inside to get your phone back from charging. When you came back to the backyard you saw Bucky on his way to his chair just as he turned around to look at you. He looked at you wide eyed and you did just the same as you took a relieved sigh which just came naturally, and Bucky stumbled. A smile came over your lips. It's just because of the Christmas and seeing old friends together, you thought to yourself.

You took your seat and maybe didn't notice that Bucky didn't take his eyes off you even for a moment. You all started talking and drinking, everyone wine and you soda. You all were laughing and falling off the chairs as you all shared embarrassing childhood memories.

"And then he yelled 'she didn't deserve it' and cried all night" you said, telling everyone about the one movie night where when Snow white ate the poisoned apple hence fell in coma, Steve started crying and refused to watch the movie any further and went back to his room and slept due to crying so hard.

"What!" Bucky said rolling on the floor laughing.

"Ikr and I laughed the whole week thinking about it" you said as you and Peggy were on the verge of falling off the chairs laughing.

Steve was so red due to embarrassment, he rolled his eyes and said "We were tiny kids"

"We were eleven dorito"

"Whatever cookie monster" Steve said making faces at you.

"Come on, I only ate them once" you said like a cute innocent kid, forming a small pout with your lips out.

"No, we caught you stealing and eating them only once" Bucky said shaking his head at how adorable you looked, knowing that at Christmas when you all were 12, you were the one who finished all the chocolate cookies.

"Same thing!" Peggy and you say in unison and burst out laughing again.
