You were back in the guest room when you saw his text.

You- .....yeah?

Dorito- Aww so you are both finally friends?

You- Well not that term...more like 'non-enemies'

Dorito- Whatever 🙄

You continue your work, as you go to take a shower.

Reading your last text, Steve laughs and shakes his head while making his way back to the living room where Peggy now sat awake. Bucky was awake too and had gone to take shower, he was so confused due to the sleep effect so embarrassed when he saw Steve saw him cuddle to Cuddlemons, he could nearly see in the future, Steve roasting and teasing him, all his friends laughing and throwing teddy bears at him, then appeared your face, the way it lit up when he accepted the stuffed toy, although you tried to mask it, all of his doubts suddenly wash away somehow.

"They are perfect together; I have never seen them this happy" Peggy says smiling as Steve shows her the picture.

"Together! Who?" Steve asks in confusion and when Peggy just smiles, he continues "...Y/n and Bucky?"

"Had you seen her smile this much or come to any gathering and enjoy it, enjoy life?" Peggy says.

"No"

"Had you seen his eyes sparkle ever before than the way it does when he sees Y/n, ever seen him genuinely be happy and do things for someone?"

"No, he didn't do gifts and she didn't do parties" Steve says remembering "They were enemies few days ago. But even I think they can be friends"

Peggy just smiled and shook her head at Steve. How clueless can they be! She thought and went to the guest room to freshen up.

You were out of shower and ready for the brunch. You four sat in the backyard and had your brunch after which Steve drove Peggy home, to get ready for the Christmas Party today. You decide to do the same.

"What are you going to wear tonight?" Bucky asked casually stuffing, some cake into his mouth.

"Rugs, why?" You answered sarcastically, as he rolled his eyes and opened his mouth to say something but stopped as your phone rang.

You excused yourself to take the call and come back later after ending the call. Steve was back by that time.

"Why, you're dumb?" Bucky says playfully hitting Steve in the arm.

"Hey, Josh wanted to pick me up for the party, he'll be there around 6" You tell Steve and he nods and goes "Be careful, don't trust, don't eat anything he gives you, keep your google map on and keep me on the call"

"Okay mommy" you said rolling your eyes and laughing, He hasn't changed a bit! You turned to Bucky "So what were you saying?"

"Nothing" he said forcing a smile and leaving, to his room to get ready.

"Okay?" You say thinking about what you could have possibly done wrong and settling with maybe he was only being nice for the festival and can't put up this show any longer.

"Mood swings" Steve said sarcastically. You picked up your dress bag and other stuffs. Steve drove you to Nat's where Nat and Wanda were waiting for you.

You three exchange gifts and do a lot of chit chat trying to catch on everything you had missed. You all do facemasks while watching Ma Ma Mia part 2. After this you all do karaoke and paint your nails. The final thing was putting on your dresses along with your makeups. Around 5.45 you were all set and so were Nat and Wanda. 15 minutes just passed like seconds with you all admiring your looks and clicking pictures. At dot 6, Josh showed up at the door. You left with him in his car as Nat and Wanda drove in Nat's car. You quicky shot Steve a text that Josh had picked you up. The 35minutes drive was fun with a lot of chatting about plot twist of random fandoms and other totally irrelevant topics.

When you reached the club where this party was held you were met by Wanda and Nat again. You started walking with them to meet Kate and her other friends who were sitting near the bar. All the while your eyes searching for Steve and Peggy and...yeah only these two.

You greeted them all sharing hugs, as you excused yourself to receive Peggy's phone call. She informed that they were gonna be a little late as Steve's car had a flat tire, so Bucky had gone to bring his car instead.

Everything was good, the party amazing as long as nobody would ask you to socialize because then that would suck so there you were quietly sitting in the corner of the big room, enjoying yourself seeing others enjoying. Nat and Wanda refused to leave you, but you insisted then to go enjoy themselves, so Wanda went with vision and Nat went with Clint.

"It's so fun to sit in the dark and judge people" Pietro said sarcastically, bringing you a drink.

You roll your eyes and laugh "Get out", you say taking the drink and nodding at Elle, Peitro's date. Pietro kisses you hand and leaves with a wink. Pietro and you met at Wanda b'day a few weeks ago and you clicked almost instantly. He gave the full 'mah-bestie' vibe and he was one of the purest souls you ever know, just like his twin sister Wanda.

"Got that for me!? Let me remind you, you don't drink" Tony says taking the drink from you and chugging it only to almost spit it out.

"It's coke Mr. Tony Stank" you say laughing at his sudden reaction. You had met Tony before in another internship program two years ago and he kinda became everyone's dad there, so like himself.

"You drugged me" Tony says swallowing the dark with difficulty, "You look good"

"Thanks, so do you" you say hugging him.

"I know" Tony smirks and shows you a box.

You gasp and say "Don't tell me! Are you gonna propose?". Tony nods
