"Ariel?" You say furrowing your brow, the plan didn't include him coming.

"Just dropping them off and get these bags" Steve said putting the bags on the side table and raising his hands in defense.

You all just laughed and pushed him out of the door. You girls had planned to get ready together. You all were going to annual fair and then having dinner together. You three had been friends since school times but now after spending some time together you could say they were indeed a lot more closer to you than ever before.

You all got ready chatting and laughing. You loved this! All this thing about having friends. Having friends, like friends not snakes, is a blessing! Who better than you'd know this. This all you could only dream of till a few years ago.

You all reached Steve's at 6.30 pm in your car. Without getting out of the car saying your hellos, you all kinda raced to the fair. As Darcy said she knew a shortcut and the boys were adamant that there wasn't any.

Of course the girls won as Darcy had exchanged jobs with you and took your car to God knows what roads, reaching there 8 minutes 43 seconds before the boys. When the boys arrived, they were all "Oh no" and all. Result- the boys had to pay for the dinner.

The girls all walked proudly out of the car when their men came to them and held them, walking hand in hand, of course not you.

Oh Lord how single I am, so single that it hurts sometimes!

You thought this like you always do, while shaking your head and chuckling sadly.

When you all were ready to enter, and the two couples were a little busy, Bucky all of sudden appeared in front of you.

He gave you a red rose, looking away. He had seen you look at the girls and sigh when they received flowers and he kinda saw that coming, maybe that is why he bought the rose in the first place?

"Why do I get this?" You ask looking at the rose unsure to take it, maybe he has poisoned it and brought it for you, so you smell it and die.

"Because every girl deserves roses" Bucky say shoving the rose in your hands, still looking away but you could tell he was being genuine.

"Even me?" You ask simply, this is surely not the Bucky you know, at least not completely.

"Yes" Bucky said, losing control over his eyes and looking at you, those baby blues staring into your y/n/e/c. He realized that any more he looks he may drown. So, he quickly added "It's not poisoned" with a smirk.

You chuckle. That's the Bucky you know. What you still don't know is the wild and weird feeling that returned in the pit of your stomach, same as the Christmas eve. Before you could dig into it, you all were asked to move inside the huge door.

"Okay now, people are single too and it hurts" Bucky teased the couples, earning a laugh from all of you.

The fair was fun, you all shopped, roamed around, went on rides, and enjoyed like hell, only to get all tired like hell. Y'all met Sam and his new girl Jessica near the Ferris wheel. He talked to you all and his old friend Steve saying "Sharon ain't what we thought she was", you were too indulged in the bet 'Ian can finish the entire cupcake before Bucky' to ask Steve what Sam meant.

Bucky said he won the bet, showing his empty hands, but when you all checked he had hid pieces of his cupcake in Steve's pocket, while he was busy talking to Sam. What a cheat! You all were going to give him no birthday birthday-booms as his punishment when he ran and threw up, whatever little strawberry cupcake he ate.

It was late now so you all decided to have dinner. You all booked a six-seater table and sat down waiting for Bucky to come back. You left for washroom and when you came back the drinks had arrived and so had Bucky.

You sat back down, to the left side of Darcy, Ian to her right. Across from you was Bucky his immediate next was Peggy, her next Steve. You drank from the glass kept in front of you and made a disgusted face, looking up at Peggy who had ordered the drinks. "I know, just try something different" Peggy said with a smile.

Just shouldn't be poison other than that I'm fine, I guess. Actually, I don't even mind poison.

Till the dinner was over, you had at least 7 shots of your drink and was getting really...drunk? Steve looked at Peggy with concern. She said gave him a reassuring smile saying she knows what she's doing. She and Darcy shared a look and smiled saying now they wanna enjoy the rest of the fair with their partners, leaving Bucky and drunk you alone.
