Jack blinked several times, frowning as he watched his ex-wife. "Keep another child...from me?"
She nodded.
"Jackie, that's literally impossible. You're being...silly." He frowned again, eyes landing on Caroline. He started to do the math in his head. He divorced Jackie in April...and she's married Onassis in October of that same year. He'd heard from Jean that Jackie had welcomed a baby with him the following month.
"Was Caroline full term, Jackie?"
She nodded. "Yes. A few days early. But nothing more."
He looked at her, tears filling his own eyes. "Caroline...is my daughter."
She nodded again.
"And Onassis has been raising her?"
"Yes." She murmured.
"God...goddamnit Jacqueline! Why would you let him raise my child?!?" He yelled hoarsely, startling the little girl awake.
"Jack...not now." Jackie murmured, motioning to the now whining little girl.
He went over, picking up Caroline and holding her close. "Daddy's here. He's here." He murmured to her, glaring at Jackie.
