Harry- "Welcome home."
Rose giggles at Harry for looking like he was a little boy on Christmas morning.
Rose- "Home indeed", Rose smiles.
By now it was almost dinner time, and the moon illuminated the lake causing the surface that was covered in snow to glisten. The pairs sit in the warm carriages as they admire the magical sight of Hogwarts. Harry's mind was full of mixed emotions, but something about Hogwarts made him so captured at the moment. They all sat in the comfortable silence until Harry decided to break it.
Harry- "Ginny, doesn't it feel like nothing has changed when we are at Hogwarts. but when we leave and return home almost everything changes."
Ginny- "Maybe it's because we grew up at Hogwarts knowing that a certain dark wizard was on the loose, and had immense power that was able to kill all of us. But we felt more connected to one another we felt like family and we knew that we would be able to win whatever was ahead of us. Hogwarts always had that glow that makes everything go away and it hasn't changed one bit, well that's obviously due to magic but it would always be part of us and our children." Ginny's eyes start to fill with tears on the verge of pouring out.
Harry- "Don't worry Ginny, I just know that whatever is ahead will come to an end. Listen I am just as scared as you are and so are the others, but when things like this happen you can't be scared you have to be brave. Be brave for me, be brave for our children."
The ride comes to an end and they all step out of their carriages and head in through the Great hall. Harry takes Ginny's hand as they walk into the well-lighted castle, still covered in some of the Christmas decorations that haven't been taken down yet.
Rose- "Nothing in this world is as magical as Christmas at Hogwarts"
Draco looked genuinely offended that all the dates and things he did for Rose did not mean more than Christmas at Hogwarts. Although he had to admit Christmas at Hogwarts is pretty amazing. Rose noticed his facial expression almost immediately.
Rose- "That is second to all the things you do for me darling" Rose smiles.
Draco throws his arm over Rose's shoulders as they continue to walk through the corridors. They don't sit with their houses for once, they all sit at Hogwarts together bringing together both Slytherin and Gryffindor. Once they finish dinner they walk along the side of the lake together talking about all their Hogwarts memories.
Harry- "Hey Rose and Draco do you guys want to sleep in the Gryffindor dorm rooms with us tonight ?"
Draco- "We would love to!"
Rose- "Absolutely!"
Harry- "Follow us, I am so excited for you guys to see the Gryffindor common room"
As they walk up the moving stairs Draco notices something.
Draco- "I haven't been to this part of the castle even while on prefect duties"
As Harry says the password the door swings open revealing the beautiful common room with red curtains and a cozy fireplace. Draco and Rose stand there shocked at the common room.
Rose- "Wow, the Gryffindor common room might be just as good as the Slytherin common room."
Draco- "My words exactly" Draco smiles
They stay up in the common room and have fun exploring the new features.
Hermione- "Cheers to over 20 years of our friendship."
Rose, Harry, Draco, Ginny, and Ron all raise their glasses and they all have a great time forgetting about the real reason why they're here.
The girls head to the girl's dorms while the boys head to theirs.
