< Third person >

Three days after
"Hey I'm gonna go take a walk!" She calls out but was given no response. "Alright" she mumbled to herself before making her way to the front and opening the door.

< Aaliyah's POV >

Once I'm outside of my house I bring my phone out eyeing the weather app. There was a small chance of rain which excited me.

I stuff my phone back into my pockets before looking up. Down the road a bit a person walked head down towards me, would now be a good time to say I wish I had my knife on me?

Knocking the unsure feelings out of my head I continue walking, but the whole time I felt unsafe. Like at any moment things could change, looking up again the figure is gone and I calm down taking a small shaky breath in.

So I continue.

Nine minutes later

Finally I arrived at the Gury park and I notice three kids running across the street to reach the park. A basketball was placed in one of their hands and I cross as well. The park was cheerful today a lot of parents out with their children and in the corner of my eye I spot the pink puffy jacket kid..and the white shirt male.

Except this time I could see their faces, it was no longer obscured. Suddenly the little girl points to me and the male looks over and stands up from his chair.

This time he wore faded torn jeans and a basic white t-shirt. "Hello again!" He grinned down at me and I eye him.

"Hello?" I spoke more in a questioning tone and his smile falters a bit.

"Do you not remember me?" He asks with a small tilt of his head and I shake my hands a bit nervously.

"No no! I remember you! I'm just surprised you remember me" I gave a short nervous laugh.

"Oh" he chuckled before the little kid walked up "sorry uh! Meet my little sister! Anne!" He gives a cheeky grin and I turn to Anne. She nervously hid behind her tall brother "oh and I'm Dereck" he sticks his hand out and I grab it and he firmly shakes my hand.

"Aaliyah" I introduced myself and he looks me in my eyes. Something was off but still I couldn't help but admire him. He had dark hair that was put in a half up half down, like one of those fashionable mullets. His eyes were hazel and FUCKS SAKE AALIYAH.

I release his hand with a nervous laugh but he just smiles at me while Anne runs off to go play on the playground.

"Anyways I want to apologize again for how Anne was acting a few days ago when we first ran into you" he messes with his arms "she's not use to being outside of this area" he eyed me and I knit my eyebrows.

"This area?" I raise a eyebrow and he nods.

"She starts to get very ti-" he stops himself midway and I felt my suspicions go up. "Sorry I was thinking about something else" he pressed his lips together a little before letting it turn into a grin "my bad" he chuckled.

"Anyways would you like to join us on a walk?"
