"If no one wants to listen to me..why would you?" > >
The sound of panic filled the air as the horses pranced around in fear from the deafening gunshots.
"THIS WAY!" A voice shouted cutting through the loud shots.
"FUCK I CANT SEE" another voice exclaimed in worry as smoke filled the whole area. Still the person calmed their horse and hurried in any direction just to get out of the direct fire.
"There you are. Hey we gotta get back, say we ditch?" The male asked and the girl gave him a crazed look.
"And come back with absolutely no supplies? The sheriff will kill us" she harshly said under her breath and the male gave a smug look "Rae I'm serious. We can't fuck up again" she says turning her horse around.
"You Aaliyah are going to get yourself killed one day." He sighed "but I'll be right at your side that day" he also turns his horse around "let's go get those supplies" he says before forcing his horse to start moving and Aaliyah does the same.
~time skip~
Loud cheers and clinks from glass cups filled the air "you two did great out there" the sheriff praised messing with his pepper colored hair. "I'm proud" he adds before a man throws his arms over the sherif.
"you sherif are the bessst~" he slurred and the sherif laughed awkwardly but smiles at the two.
"Excuse me for one second. Go mingle around you two" he says before leading the man away.
"See everything was alright thanks to me" Rae praised himself and Aaliyah shakes her head.
"Oh yes sure" she replies fixing up her clothes before a low whistle sounded. "Ah look who finally woke up aye?"
"Hey it's not my fault I didn't have you to wake me up" he smiles coming up to the girl and ruffling her hair.
"Yeah yeah. I left a note by the way did you see it?" The girl raised a questioning eyebrow and the guy nods.
"It said 'dear derek I'm gone' how sinister it was. You know I thought you were dead? I even asked sheriff where you were" derek stressed and Aaliyah smiled.
"Well I mean I could've been dead but" she raised a finger "that didn't happen"
"God bless" derek sighed taking his dirty gloves off.
"Doing farm work again?" Rae asks "farm boy" he chuckles and derek throws his gloves at Rae,
"At least I'm not throwing myself out in the world to get shot huh?" Derek retorts and Aaliyah sighed shaking her head slightly.
"I'm gonna get a drink" she mumbled leaving the two boys to argue.
The girl mingled through the crowded bar as people raise they're drinks in cheer while the sheriff and the guy from before sing a few songs in drunk joy. "Aaliyah!" A voice rings out and the girl turns seeing her friend.
"Lala! God I didn't know you were even allowed at this part in town" the girl rushes out her words and lala laughs.
"I'm not allowed! But~ as long as no one finds out it should be fine" they praise themself while brushing her hands together.
"And if they do?" Aaliyah raised an eyebrow and lala looked in thought.
"I would imagine I would be locked in my room." They laughed lightly but still was aware of the possibility.
"God, what a harsh world we live in" Aaliyah sighed and lala nods.
"Hello~" Rae says coming over derek following closely behind. "So we came up with this idea"
"Oh no" lala says "usually your ideas are bad". Rae fake pouts before laughing.
"I promise this one is good"he holds his pinky finger out and winks and Aaliyah rolls her eyes.
"Does this idea possibly lead to our death?" She asked and the male shrugged.
"Yes" derek said and Rae elbowed him "what you want me to lie to her?"
"Yes exactly that"
"Oh"
"Ugh anyways, we can't do something super stupid alright? Make it kinda stupid" the girl added and Rae nods before grinning.
"We basically just want to buy the fastest horses in town and take them on a ride in the forest" he adds and lala lights up with joy.
"I've never been in the forest! This will be amazing" they said and Aaliyah just presses her lips together.
"And where will we get this money?" Aaliyah asked and Derek points the girl following his finger until it stopped on the sheriff.
<twenty minute time skip>
"I can't believe that actually worked" Aaliyah says petting her horse while riding it. The others did the same as they wondered further into the forest.
"What happens if people attack us?" Lala asks and Rae points to his hip that had a gun attached to it.
"It'll be alright. Me and Aaliyah are armed" he flashes a smile and derek groaned.
"Yeah but me and lala aren't. You expect us to just scurry away? What if it's not just two people and instead like a Hurd? What happens if it's a pack of wolves huh?" The male argued with the other one.
"If it's a pack of wolves feed the horse to it. And if it's a group of people we dip easy" Rae added and lala shared a worried glance with Derek but said no more.
They silently move into the night the sound of the horses hooves hitting the ground and the small gust of wind hitting the tall trees above. "I have a question" Lala asks and Rae hums. "This is going to sound weird but...I feel like we're being watched" they said and In that instance Aaliyah feels a chill up her body and she shuts her eyes a sickening feeling hitting her.
"God I just got horrible deja vu" Aaliyah laughed and looks at lala "listen if you want to turn back we can" she added.
"No no..it's okay" lala smiled. And so they continued even further the small sound of humming being heard from Rae as they started to go more downhill. Ten more minutes had passed and still lala had that lingering feeling.
"Okay now I'm feeling what lala is feeling" Rae stopped humming and stopped his horse, the others did the same and they eyed the area.
"Fine, let's stop here for now" Aaliyah gets off her horse and ties it to a wood pole and makes her way a little further down,derek following after her.
"Hey can we talk for a second?" He asks brushing back his curly black hair and Aaliyah nods. "Do they seem off to you?" He whispers and the girl stops.
"Their just scared" she says looking at a sign and derek does the same. "Laguna creek?"
