"So you live near the creek?" Dereck asks Aaliyah and the girl nods while attempting to warm up her hands. "That's actually pretty nice! You do anything cool there?" He asked while Anne hopped in little puddles that were created from the rain.
"Not yet, but I'm planning on doing something there on Saturday" she replied and he humms before looking at a tree. "What's wrong?" She asked and he grabs Anne quickly.
In the distance was two figures walking down the fence line. One in a white shirt and the other in a pink puff jacket, just like Anne and Dereck.
Suddenly Aaliyah's head began to hurt and she grabs dereck "we need to get out now!" She rushed and he nods picking up Anne quickly as they both start running the other direction. The sound of the pebbles being crushed underneath them were loud as everything else seemed still and quiet.
Everything began to make sense slowly. Aaliyah connected the dots. The first time she met dereck and Anne..it was them, but also not.
It was another version of them.
There's multiple of them. "Shit!" Dereck cussed out when the same pair were now at the park. "Their everywhere!" He breathed out and Aaliyah blinks a few times.
"Let's go to the creek" she rushes and dereck eyes her weirdly but nods.
And so they make their way over to the creek but of course the lingering feeling of being watched remained. "Alright here we go" the black hair boy placed down Anne. "Laguna creek? I never knew it had an actual name" he points out and Aaliyah presses her lips together.
"I never payed attention to the name until now as well." She says and the three of them begin walking over to the sign.
"God it's worn out" dereck runs his right hand on it cold water getting on them.
"I don't want to go in" Anne pouted and dereck crouches.
"Why not?" He asks her and Anne faced Aaliyah.
"I know you feel it. It's not nice here" the girl mumbled and Aaliyah tensed up.
The both of them knew something bad would happen once they pass that sign. But still the two figures watched them..they had to take the chance.
