Being seen as weak was not something that Alastor wanted for themselves, so without their parents knowing they gathered citizens from the village and paid their kingdoms best knight to teach them self Defence. The people huffed and complained in the first weeks of training but gradually over a month had passed and they effortlessly could take the knights down.
"You've done well" the knight compliments all of the trainees. This schedule proceeded for the next two months, all the while the blood god crawled closer and closer to the holy trinity land. Rumor's of who it might be passed the village in quick whispers.
"Do you think it's prince Sebastian? He has been gone for quite some time"
"Are you an idiot he's mourning his fathers death! Let the poor boy rest"
Every day Sebastian was reminded of his fathers death, and sadly for him he could not reach his body. The snow storms to strong, so he returned back to his kingdom and back to his throne as the king. Derek and Alastor show relief to this, seeing as the council grew stronger from Sebastian's return.
"Sebastian, news just in! A person has been robbing many homes, stealing valuables that are more expensive than our cattle" Alastor looks at the newspaper. But Sebastian had his head down his hair a mess while he rested his elbows on his legs, his hands clutched together. "Sebastian are you paying attention? This person could belong to the blood god group!" They stress and Sebastian runs his hands on his face, sighing gently.
"This is a situation for the council. I can't help" he stands "I'm going to rest" he dismissed himself. But with the adrenaline Alastor hardly realized the exhaustion that grew onto the young king, as they to had problems.
The training was every day early morning, and Alastor finally felt at peace with themself when they could easily fight off their own top knight.
"This still won't be enough to take on the blood god, surely you know this princess" the knight tells Alastor.
"Maybe not their whole army, but just the god themself, I'm sure I could do it" they smile at themself in a mirror. "I will make everyone proud"
"Yes im sure you will" the knight gently smiles underneath their helmet.
And so various days passed quick like a leaf in the wind. Sebastian had grew more tired as papers on papers laced his desk, newspapers on the blood god. Letters from north tribes about the murder of his father and... the council news. He wishes now that the council place would be burnt from the ground, he misses the time when a sweet rivalry happened between Rae,Aaliyah and him. He missed the mornings he would wake without a worry, the mornings when he would walk into the dining area and see his father discussing with the others fathers. He wanted to know the blood god just as much as Alastor but the difference was that he didn't want to murder them, he wanted to ask why, why they did this to him. Why they murdered innocents including his father.
So here sparked a new goal, protect the blood god. Even if it means breaking the truce between the three kingdoms.
