Find me at a quarter to three, cigarette in my hand, i'd be at every party, i wouldn't miss a chance.

Draco could feel the stares as he walked into the party, his Slytherin group following closely behind him.

it was known to most people in Hogwarts that any party thrown regardless of what house it was who threw it, Draco & his gang would always show up, get stupid drunk and cause all kinds of problems for everyone they get involved with. they were just the local bad boys... well Draco was. at the end of every party, a fight always broke out and there was no doubt that tonight would be any different.

"dude the buffet" Crabbe mumbles to Goyle who grins in response causing Blaise to pull a look of disgust.

"why do we let them come along" Blaise sighs, watching the pair of them shuffle over to the food table.

"who cares let's just get drunk" Draco replies with a shrug.

Fading away, fading away
Wake up to someone with nothing to say.

"Wonder who you'll be taking back tonight" Blaise remarks a little sarcastically as he passes Draco a drink, his eyes trailing to Pansy who was quite obviously trying to get Draco's attention.
"and for the love of god don't let it be Pansy"

Draco pulls a face of disgust "please i'm not that desperate"

"so last weekend didn't happen then?" Blaise asks

"okay i'm not desperate anymore" Draco snaps sending him a glare.

Blaise glanced around the room and nudged his best friend "what about any of them?"

Draco followed his gaze till his eyes were met with a group of girls who were chatting away happily, each of them with a drink in their hands smiling away. Draco was about to shrug but his eyes landed on you. you were lead up against the wall laughing at whatever it was that had been said, your eyes glistened as the lights went around the room, you were someone Draco usually took an interest in but he had never seemed to notice you before now.

"go for it" Blaise said snapping Draco out of his thoughts

"no someone like that? i'd ruin her" Draco replies he could tell just by your bright smile that you weren't anything like Pansy.

"unless it changes you" Blaise tries only causing Draco to scoff

ever since Blaise got with Astoria, he had been trying to get him to see that there is more to life than drinking, partying and sleeping with random girls but so far he had been unsuccessful. the problem was is that he just felt so lowly of himself and there was nothing that Blaise could say that would change that.

Blaise had seen you around before, you had even exchanged a few small conversations with him before. Blaise knew Draco could take an interest in you, he also knew just how much of a good heart you had which is why he egged Draco onto speaking to you at least.

I'd never change, thought I'd never change,
Then you come and change it all.

You had managed to escape outside for a moment to get some fresh air. parties were never your kind of thing but as long as it wasn't a Slytherin who threw the party it was never as wild so you didn't mind as much.
