"he is so dreamy though" your friend Cassie says quietly as she subtly glanced at Blaise from their table on the train

you rolled your eyes at her statement and continue flicking through your magazine

you were one of the last to get on the train so you couldn't get the seats you usually got so instead were sat a table away from Malfoy and his gang who were usually finding a way to annoy someone but this time they seemed to be fairly quiet.

"they're a lot calmer this year" you remark

"like they've ever harassed you anyway" she replied

"not the point"

this was when your other friend arrived with powder all over his robes and just stared at you both glumly

you and Cassie share a look before looking back at him

after a few moments you turn your attention back to your magazine "what happened?"

Max sits down next to Cassie and huffs "don't laugh"

"we won't" Cassie says

he gives us both a look "i lost a fight with a first year" he says quietly

you resist the urge to burst out laughing "i'm sorry could you repeat that i didn't quite here you"

"i lost a fight with a first year" he says loudly causing some people in the carriage to start laughing you and Cassie included

"i hate you both so much" he replies

"ugh they're so weird" Pansy remarks as she watches you and Cassie laughing at Max

"since when was laughing weird?" Blaise asks

"please you're only saying that because you fancy one of them" she says rolling her eyes

Draco perks up at her comment and looks at Blaise "you do?"

Blaise avoids his gaze a little and slightly nods making Pansy smirk "yeah Cassie"

Draco eased up "oh ok"
Draco had a very secret crush on you and had done for many years but the two of you had only really ever exchanged a hello or discussions about school work in the odd occasion that you were partners.

when the train arrived at Hogwarts Draco stayed behind while Pansy and Blaise left

you left your carriage but then decided you needed the toilet so asked Cassie and Max to take your bags

once you were finished you left the train and headed towards the castle, along the way you heard something drop and thought you had dropped something so looked behind you to see what it was but instead bumped into someone causing you to almost fall over but were grabbed by the waist to ensure you didn't

"oh my god i'm so sorry!!" you exclaim looking up to see the one and only Draco Malfoy

"it's alright, just be careful" he replies letting go of you

"yeah thanks" you say

"where are your bags?" he asked as you both headed towards the castle

"oh my friends took them i needed the loo" you explain

"fair enough" he replies

once you both reached the castle you saw Cassie waiting for you and you and Draco part ways
