different day, same rubbish.

you were a Slytherin, but the nicer kind so because of this you would receive a lot of nasty comments from other Slytherin's. now usually it wasn't so bad because your boyfriend, Draco was always quick to put a stop to it but he hasn't been here lately as he had to leave for a family emergency so you had to face it all on your own only it's been worse because he's not here.

his best friend, Blaise would stick up for you if he was around but he was never in your classes so to say it's been getting to you was understatement.

lots of people had the same opinion on you so maybe they were true?

everyday you'd be called fat, ugly, unworthy and some would say that you didn't deserve Draco and that you were making him depressed which is the real reason why he left. even though you knew the truth you couldn't help but overthink it so much that even you were starting to believe it was true.

a few weeks later, Draco returned and was concerned when he hadn't saw you at dinner, as the week went on he noticed how you were shutting yourself out like you used to before he gained your trust, you didn't have your happy glow about you anymore, not to mention you were starting to look unwell from the lack of eating and he didn't know what to do. he had tried to get you to speak to him but you would just say you were fine.

so in the end he went to Blaise for advice.

"i won't lie to you, it's not been great, it got worse when you left i tried telling her to ignore it but i think she's just been holding it all in for so long that she's finally just snapped" Blaise says

Draco sighs and sends a glare to Pansy and her group knowing it was them who was giving his girlfriend the most grief "i knew i shouldn't have left, i shouldn't have listened to her"

"but you're here now so go and help her before it's too late" Blaise tells him and with that Draco got up and left to find you

you were sitting on a windowsill in a empty classroom watching the rain run down the window every so often glancing out to the what was usually a calm lake as the weather made its waters more choppy. it was the only place where you could hide from everyone and everything.. or so you thought as a few minutes later you were joined by your boyfriend who quietly sat next to you.

"Blaise told me everything" he says gently "i'm sorry i left you"

"it's not your fault" you reply quietly not taking your eyes away from the window

"you can tell me what's on your mind because i know it's been bothering you and i want to help" he pleads

you look at him, his face filled with worry, you were about to tell him how you felt but suddenly felt like you couldn't so instead you started to shut yourself away from him which he noticed quickly

"no baby don't shut yourself away from me" he says gently taking your hand into his

tears start to form in your eyes as you look back at the window
"i can't" you whisper "i don't want you to believe them"

Draco sighed quietly to himself, it was killing him to see you so down, he just wanted to protect you from everyone but he knew he couldn't

"i would never believe any foul word that anyone says about you, i will always love you even when you don't love yourself, just let me" he pleads with you

you close your eyes to try and stop yourself from breaking down but fail miserably and Draco quickly takes you into his arms as you sob into his chest

Draco was feeling mixed emotions right now, he was raging with the people who had made you feel like this, upset with himself for leaving in the first place and heartbroken that the girl he loved was currently sobbing in his arms

"i'm sorry" you say quietly

"you've got nothing to be sorry for" he replies as you pull away and face him

"i don't care what they're saying, because none of it is true you are the most beautiful girl i've ever laid my eyes on and no jealous, pathetic person is going to change the love that i feel for you and i promise you that i'm not going anywhere, you will always have me" he says softly wiping your tears away

you smile slightly at him and wrap your arms around him again wanting nothing than to just be in his arms which he happily obliged to.

you now realised that it doesn't matter what they say about you, because you had the one thing they didn't and that was the incredible man that was holding you tightly in his arms

and for once you knew that it was going to get better because you weren't alone.
